New 2014 Rates... YUCK!!

OMG, the values are no longer very valuable. I priced out my package with the new rates... Rooms at values went up roughly 40 per night!!! Geez. Our family of four , yesterday the Dining plan would have been 1350, for 2014 over 1700! So, between the MAJOR room increase and the dining, we'd be paying an extra 700 dollars from this June. That seems a bit absurd!

I agree And flights aren't available yet, so I'm totally stuck.

is there (I know it's a long shot) a handy dandy place (like allears but last time I checked the 2014 rates were not on there) with a chart of prices for rooms in 2014? I know I can go to the "new" site and plug in dates but that new site is such a pain I find myself avoiding it like the plague.

I'm with you on the redone site. Once logged into "My Disney Experience", some features are no longer available that were in the previous version of the trip planning section, I can't seem to access the notes I've entered, and it's slow to load. The site was messed up earlier today. I was trying to look at rooms for FD, but there were no rooms available no matter which resort I chose, so I passed on trying to check new rates.

I'm actually pleased with the prices, as I expected a bigger increase. AKL Savanna only went up $9/night while we are there...offset somewhat by the fact that next year they charge more on the weekend, but still not a bad increase.

And BLT 2BR Villa w/TPV only went up $29/night, which is less than I expected...that's where we hope to stay, once the DVC resorts open up for booking for our dates.

Our paychecks have not been going up the past few years, but Disney has really been running the prices up on their rooms. I guess we just may have to get used to "no more EMH for us"!

Bernake say's that there is no inflation, and keeps interest rates at zero which makes my savings accounts cry...
Looking at all the price increases, I guess that Disney didn't get the message.
Apparently neither did my health insurance company...

Please don't direct me to the official site, I don't want to price a vacation! I need that info to write an article for a blog.
