Good Morning,

We are snow birds Jan, Feb, March and spouse works as casual temporary cast member at CS gift shop. She works 8-15 hrs a week as needed. She recieved a letter the other day talking about a minimum of 150 hrs for casual temp cast members. Looks like this may affect lots of folks who just fill in now and then or snow birds. Has anyone looked into this further and figured out what is going on?

Thanks, Ted

There is a very long thread in the Cast Forum discussing this. If you do not have access to that forum, contact admin@wdwinfo.com for access.

Basically, starting October 1, 2011 you must work at least 150 hours during a 12 month period to retain your status. Starting September 30, 2012 at the end of each calendar quarter they will look back over the previous 12 months.

There is also a need to give tentative and more exact planning information on The Hub in advance.

Thanks for the info...looks like we will be OK for the limited perks we get until fall of 2012 when they will add up the hours Von works in Jan, Feb, March of next year

Ted
