Never walked a ressie before

Ok, I think I need to walk my December 14-21 ressie but don't know how to do this. Here is the situation: I have a current reservation for OKW- want to switch to BCV at 7 months. There is currently availability for the dates I want. So at one week before(Dec 7) do I try to make the switch and then each day , drop the first and add the last until I get my final dates(Dec 14-21)We have a 2 bdrm booked. Or is this all unnecessary and just go for it on my 7 month date?
I really want to get the BCV for this stay-what do you would give me my best chance?

Well, I guess on closer examination that won't work because Dec 7-14 is only partially available. And that probably means that as we get closer that Dec 14-21 availability will disappear too. Rats!

Walking is really only useful for booking at 11 months. And even then, it's really only necessary for a few specific cases. As you just saw with your attempt it is hardly ever successful at 7 months since there is no guarantee that all of the nights you need will be available between the time you start the process and the time you get what you wanted.

Others will be trying to move at 7 months, so maybe what you want will be there when your window opens. If not, here's hoping your waitlist works.
