I will NEVER shop at office Depot again. It is not worth the time, money or effort.

Office Depot NEVER has the products they advertise. I saw a Maxx ipod clock radio in the Sunday ad. So I called the 800 # and was told the stores opened Sunday at 10:00.
I went to the store. They did not open until 11:00. So one hour waisted.

I was the first one in the store, even though several people who also called and checked out the website thought they opened at 10:00 too.

Then I asked for the advertised product and they did not have any. I asked for a rain check. Randy said they do not give rain checks.

So I went home to order it online. none.

So I called the 800# and nothing. The guy said some stores might have it. The advertise things to get them out of the stores. Thaty are on clearance. The ad did not say clearance or quantities limited or may not be availabe in all stores.

None of the stores within a 50 mile radius of my hame have it. Maybe even further. That is all I checked.

This is the second time I have tried to shop for advertised items and nothing both times.

NEVER AGAIN!!! The ads WAIST my time. It is their thing to get you in the store. I REFUSE to look around a store that advertises something and then they do not even have it.

I had the same problem with office depot this week. I wanted the Canon SC1000 power shot camera that was listed for $199 plus $50 rebate. I went to three stores on Monday and no one had any. I sent an email to their corporate customer service and they forwarded my complaint to a corporate customer service manager. She emailed me back with 2 stores I had been to that got them in on Thursday. I asked them to hold one for me until I could get there after work and I did. I would send them an email. They seem to take things more seriously than a phone call.

Good luck!

That is false advertising! It's bad enough they wasted an hour of your time, but then not to have the product? I agree, email the company, it's worth a shot!

That has been my experience every time I've wanted something at Office Depot. I don't even try any more.

Unless an ad stipulates limited to quantity on hand or such similar stipulations, it is considered to be false advertising. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires the store to provide documentation that sufficient sale items have been ordered for advertised sales.

You could send a letter to the FTC.
