This morning I noticed a very odd shape in the far corner of our awning over the front of our house. It is far enough away from the front door as to not be noticeable immediately and its a metal awning that doesn't retract.

Its seems that we have a cluster of bees(possibly wasps) building a hive in that corner. I don't really that's a good idea. Not sure when they started, but we left for a 4 day visit to my parents' house and got back late Mon. night. So I'm guessing somewhere in there and only got to noticeable progress late yesterday. But what do i know about these things

So I need to know how to get rid of them and stop the hive building. I don't care if they get to live or die in the process, but I think they should leave. I'm smart enough to know what NOT to do as it'll get me stung. But the proper action kind of eludes me at the moment. Not crazy about it as somebody's gonna need a ladder to get at them since they are not over our porch.

Any thoughts/advice would be welcome asap.

There's a hundred yellow jacket nests hanging on the eaves of the roof. One of the larger ones right above the garage door. It's taken three cans of spectracide to hit all the nests, and I think i got them all. Now I just to figure out a way to knock all the nests down. And there's hundred of tiny small starter nests too, the ones that look like corsage pins.

I should say the first hive is gone. It didn't take long for the wasps(we are sure now) to come back and start again. Oh boy. I want them to pick a new home.

You have to spray it and kill the nest before removing it, or they just come back and rebuild.
