Could someone please help me or give some peace of mind. My husband and I will be going in October and we wanted to let our ds do the pirate cruise but for the dates there is no opening. So I thought about sending him to the Neverland Club for one evening. So maybe my husband and I could do an E-night. Please let me know how your kids did there. My ds is 4yo and he does go to preschool so he is used to other kids and different settings. I just needed to know what it is really like. I am starting to feel guilty about wanting to go off to ourselves. I have had some people tell my "Oh its Disney it has to be wonderful and so supervised" Then my Mother says I had better not leave him there!! All of your help will be appreciated!!

Thanks!! Disney Dianne

We have used the Neverland Club twice with wonderful results. We have 6 kids and wanted to have some time for our older ones to go thru Epcot as my boys tend to run thru it very quickly.

So we sent our three boys ages, 9, 7, and 5 yrs and they had a wonderful time. The staff there seemed very attentive to the kids. Even the year before when my younger son was 4 he didn't have any problems.

They will give you a pager and we had our cell phone with us. We actually called and checked with them to see how the boys were doing the first year. This year that was the first thing on their list to do.

They loved all the Nintendo games, I'm a mean Mom, we don't have it at home, so they were in heaven all night. They also had a buffet dinner, movies going all night, and some crafts activity.

My oldest son is worried that we won't go back again before he's too old to return.

By having the one night with our girls, 15, 12, and 3, each of them got to do something special. And my hubby and I got to have some relaxing time going thru Epcot with the girls.

I'd say try it, if your son gets upset, you can always go get him. You may even want to go and check it out before you bring him over to see the layout.

I must admit I was very nervous about leaving my daughter at the Neverland Club the first time. She was just 4 yrs old and very shy! She is not one to talk to strangers and "make new friends" all by herself. But....my mother had made reservations for us at V&A's....and who can refuse THAT???

Anyway, very nervously we took her, allowing plenty of time for her to get used to the place before we left....Well, as soon as we got there, she climbed through Wendy's window and left us in the dust!!! She was sooo excited!!! She particularly enjoyed the crafts, but they have many games, etc. that keep the kids busy. The place is Peter Pan theme and very cute!
She was also excited about having her own buffet and choosing all her favorites (the staff does supervise and help out, if needed!)

When we got back, I was very nervous about what we would find. It was about 9 p.m. and we had dropped her off around 5....That's a long time for my little girl to be in a strange place w/o us. We we came into the room, the kids were sitting watching a Disney movie (of course!) and eating ice cream. MY DD was disappointed that we were there because she wanted to watch the rest of the movie and finish her ice cream! That says it all!

She absolutely loved the whole experience! I would recommend it to anyone! They staff is well-trained and with the security of having a beeper (and if you going to a specific place you can tell them where you will be so they can also call), I knew my daughter was in good hands!

I have never read anyone as having a bad experience there!

I bet it will be a highlight for your child!

Hi DisneyDianne. My 4yo DD and 7yo DS went to the Neverland club last November and just loved it! They fully expect to go back for an evening on our next trip, too, and in fact asked if they could go back every evening last time. I don't think you need to feel guilty, at all. Our two kids had no concept that this was "babysitting" - they just felt that Mom and Dad had gone to the trouble of finding them something extra special to do at WDW.

The big mistake I made, however, was in thinking that my DD and DS would have settled for the night in a corner somewhere (they do provide a place for little ones to nod off) since they're normally in bed by 7:45. When we arrived back at 10:30, after e-night at MK, DS was into a video game (Hi Mommy and Daddy - would you mind coming back a little later?) and DD was chasing bubbles that one of the CMs was blowing (No! Go away! I don't want to leave!). So much for the concept of returning to two slumbering angels. Since they went to bed so late we did have to gear things down the next day, but they certainly had a great time!

Sent my 4 year old twin boys in June for the first night. They loved their own disney "club" ended up sending them a second night for a couple hours because they insisted on going to their "club". We also went their in the afternoon before their first visit. It is open from 12-4 with a disney staff person there. You have to stay with your children during this time. it worked out great because the boys new what it was all about and I got the paperwork all completed before then. Added bonus I got some reassurances as to how the club was run and what the kids were doing. Also wanted to make sure the children could not leave without someone knowing and that no one else could pick them up and that during the buffet they would have help if needed and encouraged to eat a "decent" dinner. the staff was very helpful and it worked out great. Now when we go back in Sept the boys are already asking if they can go to their club too!!

Disney Dianne here!!

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the info on the club!! I think my son will love it!! He loves Peter Pan and we have been telling him about it to see what he says. He says he wants to go and play! So I guess we will try it and if he is not happy we will go back and pick him up. I like the fact that you wear a beeper. Makes me feel better. Well thanks again!!

I feel the clubs are safe... they are open, meaning windows that you can look into it. Their is more than 1 woman working. My girls saw Sibas Club house & begged to go. They loved it & want to go again. They di da craft project. We did'nt stay out long, hubby was very nervious leaving them.
