Leaving from My hometown at 7:15 am, going to Philly, then Washington Reagan, then into Orlando. Let's say one of the flights is delayed, Philadelphia for example (as I've heard they're notorious for delays). How does that affect the rest of my flight schedule? I'm not sure I understand how we'll get the plane out of Washington on time....

Sorry if this is a silly question...

Depends on your airline.
if you get bumped they would attempt to get you seats on the next flight out (if there is one and if there are seats)

That is not a silly question at all, especially for a new flyer. If you miss a flight because of the airline, they should try to fit you in on the next flight. If you miss a flight because you lose track of time in the airport, then you need to fly out at your cost.

Good luck flying. I hope you enjoy it. I am not the best flyer, but going from Wisconsin to Florida, it is definitely the best way!

Happen to me once, Delta put us on next available flight and changed our return date, no additional cost. However instead of arriving at WDW at 10am it was 10pm. Lost a whole day. We were able to get an extra night after some begging. First were told they were sold out. And since we weren't able to use our tickets that day we still had passes for length of stay.Don't know what we would have done if WDW hadn't added the day after we had changed our flights. Guess we could have switched hotels. It was a bad start to what turned into an AWESOME trip. So be flexable, don't panic, cause no matter what your going to end up at Disney. :)

Thanks for easing my fears, everyone. I was just looking at our itinerary, and it looks like all our layovers are at least one hour long, so hopefully we'll be fine :) I was just so confused! :surfweb: <----thats what I'm going to be doing the rest of the night, here on Dis :)
