Every trip, it gets right down to the ADR window and still no park hours. Why are they not fixing this? Does this make anyone else insane? I'm 193 days today, and it's still only showing hours up until the week before the trip. Why can't they either make the ADR window smaller or create a concrete calendar further in advance? This is not rocket science, Mickey! Ugh!

Park hours won't be finalized until a month before your trip. I just book based on what's published at 180 days and don't think about it any more.

Right. But as of right now, I can't even see what parks have EMH on what days. Nothing. So frustrating!

This is one of my pet peeves. We go to WDW in Oct. not only to we have to balance MNSSHP but Food & Wine as well. Our PPO Breakfast last year became worthless when hours changed (I would have made it for another day had I known the real hours) and I would love to do some of the F & W dinners but after getting highly anticipated ressies at some of our favorite restaurants I really don't want to give them up. It's very frustrating!!!

Touring Plans, and I'm sure other crowd calendars, have educated guesses regarding EMH. Even the TA calendar lists the EMH days.THey're published through November 30 right now, and Dec will come out any day.

then add in trying to book sought after FP+s. its crazy@

And unfortunately it doesn't look like they are opening all restaurants right away. My 180 was yesterday and Crystal Palace was not open and I read akershus and garden grill was not either, which I found odd because Crystal Palace is one restaurant I have never had any issue getting and it is always my first booked. I don't know if this is still the case today but I still haven't been able to find anything and I'm going Nov 14-18. I was looking for breakfast but not even dinner or lunch was available.

Try Touring Plans. I've found their predictions for hours are almost always accurate. I also look at historical information; however, this is only helpful for times that are predictably the busiest days of the year (Easter/spring break, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year's). For instance, even though right now Touring Plans shows a park opening at MK of 9 AM with morning EMH of 8 AM for 11/24 (day after thanksgiving), the historical information shows that MK has opened at 8 AM the days up to and just following Thanksgiving. Last year the day after Thanksgiving was morning EMH at 7:00.

So I am making our plans on the assumption that MK will open at 8 AM every day we will be spending there (11/23-11/25) and that we will have a morning EMH at 7 AM on 11/24. I did this for Easter week (spring break) also (using TP's predictions for park opening hours as well as historical information), and I was 100% accurate. I've done it other times in the past as well with complete success. On occasion if I start doubting myself, I'll make a secondary plan with extra dining reservations that I hold on to (yup, that's me, sorry) until WDW officially releases park hours and EMH that match what I was planning on (and then I release those extra ADRs that you want!).

Even with having park hours things can and will change as you get closer to your dates. For my April trip I had looked at park hours, times when wishes was going to be and planned a dinner at the contemporary so that we could take a leisurely stroll up to the top of the world lounge to watch the fireworks which were scheduled at 10pm when i made my DR. As we were sitting finishing up our meal at 8:45pm I happen to look on MDE and noticed it was now at 9pm -- when they changed it i have no clue but i was glad i checked as it was the last time for me to see wishes.

Where are the park hours for TA's published
I thought I linked it in my post above, but I must have forgotten. There's a post somewhere on the strategies board with them, it might even be a sticky. Or if you google "Disney calendar TAs" the post here is one of the first few that comes up.

I'm 188 days out and can see 2 days of park hours.

I can only see 4 days in the TA calendar because I'm going 11/27-12/7. TP doesn't give much details Parks hours and then says haven't been released yet.

I've just had to make my plans on best guesses. For 2 park days I am essentially going to have to make 2 ressies for every 1 I need. Trying to plan around Rivers of Light potential times (no historical data for Nov-Dec) and Star Wars fireworks. Last year it was Jingle Bam but blogs also have said this is now retired. So up in the air and I feel your pain.

Now to learn this morning that ressies for certain restaurants haven't even been released yet for November is crazy.

Thank You!

Is it for sure that Star Wars fireworks are happing in that time period? We're going 11/25-12/3 and my DH and DS love Star Wars.

No not sure at all. In fact I'm making my reservations on the assumption that they won't be there or will be replaced by Jingle Bam like last year. However one of the blogs can't remember which one lists Jingle Bam as retired. And no historical data on this Star Wars projection show so we just don't know

Kind of same as ROL. I assume that there might be two shows in Nov-Dec or a later show. But as right now park close is listed at 7pm. With so many things to do now at AK in the dark I don't know how the hour from 6-7 can do it all even though I have two days. Lol!! So hoping for later. Hence why I am making a Yak&Yeti for 5:00 and 7:30. Ugh.

We are 191 days out, so adr time is fast approaching. We sat down last night to finalize our preliminary plans, park days, adr's. since most of vacation falls in the beginning of December, and we just can't seem to get any December hours announced, were just going to hope for the best and stick with our plan. We're doing MVMCP on the first, so we're locked in for that day. And the CM party on the 30th gives us a little more of a plan. I guess if we miss and EMH hours, we're going to have to just deal with it. I'm just hoping we can get the restaurants we want!
