So we're taking a 2nd trip to WDW. We have 3 days left on a never expire set of tickets. They are on Keys to the World cards because we stayed on property. This time we're off property so we won't be seeing a guest services person till we hit the park the first day, unlike staying at a WDW hotel where they'd sort us out on checkin.

Sooo, is there anything I can or should do upfront to square those tickets away? Or do we just walk up the gate and throw them in the turnstyle and they'll work?

Also, we're thinking of those cheaper hotels on the west side of the property over behind the Music/Movies values on Irlo Bronson. Does anybody have recommendations for those?

Normally we rent a condo off Disney property or stay at a resort on property, but this last time we spent a few nights at the Nickleodeon Hotel and we loved it. Rooms were cheap, 1-1/2 bedroom (1 bedroom with a queen bed plus a room with 2 single beds that was open to the living room), mini-fridge and microwave. I wouldn't really want to spend more time there then we did (3 nights) because we're used to having the space and full kitchens condos provide, but it was a pleasant change and the kids LOVED getting slimed at the pool. Food was pretty pricey, but with the room was cheap (I think it was $54 taxes in/night) and we had a car so we ate most of our meals elsewhere.

I stayed at the Beuna Vista Suites on World Centre Drive and it was good (bedroom with seperate living room w/sofa bad), but that was about 12 years ago.

There are some pretty sketchy hotels along Irlo Bronson so be careful. A number have converted to rent-by-the-month and we're not talking high rents.

Hope you have a fantastic trip!

are looking for hotel recs you may look at the Orlando hotel thread on this site. The Unofficial Guide, which can be found at a lot of libraries, has a large section on offsite hotels. Also I use Tripadvisor.com often. I read the reviews versus just looing at ratings. Some people upgrade or downgrade hotels for reasons that are unimportant to me.

Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista has $49 per night thru Travelzoo. Great location - frig in room can save a bunch of cash too. If you make a grocery stop can bring food/drinks/sandwiches into the parks with you too!
