Never been to Downtown Disney...

I've never been and don't know a thing about it! What are the best things to do/ places to visit there?

I mostly shop and eat, never done a club or activity zone there (I just don't have the energy after a day at the parks). I usually have a nice dinner, then check out the Disney shops (especially the homegoods store!), then get dessert at Ghiradelli's. In the past I've also seen movies (nice thing to do after being on your feet all day + get out of the humidity!)

DTD's bowling alley is very nice and the food is surprising gourmet. The quality of the food doesn't fit a bowling alley, but it's nice.
Their drinks are also huge.

DisneyQuest is fun for adults and children. It's a 5 story arcade and included in the Hopper + More option. Both old school and new school games.

I love watching the live entertainment all around DTD. Ragland road is fun along with Bongos.

Wolfgang Puck Express is an absolute freaking hidden gem for people on the Disney Dining Plan. It counts as a quick service yet after you order your food you have a server the whole time for beer refills, etc. The food is also very good for quick service. The pizzas are great.

I will admit this last September there were way too many walls for my liking, but this coming September it should be good to go for the most part. My favorite little alcohol shack was shut down last September for construction. I hear it's open again, now.

Honestly right now Id hold off, there's heavy construction and renovation going on, but if that wouldn't spoil the ambiance for you then head down there, Raglan Road is one of the best restaurants on property to me, plus splitsville is fun on rainy days and such... Disney Quest is a solid skip in my book, too expensive for antiquated and broken games.

The Hot air balloon ride........the Amphicars are due sometime this summer.......Cirque du Soleil is an awesome show! I am planning an afternoon of browsing, a snack or two, the 6:00 PM show for Cirque and then dinner @ 8:30 PM for Wolfgang Puck Cafe and finally some music @ HOB or Bongos! Whatever you decide......have a great time!

I'll second Wolfgang Puck Express, the pizza is very good. Disney Quest is not worth the money, it's rather sad and needs updating.

For us it's mostly the shopping. We really enjoy looking at Disney stuff, and we buy quite a bit of it. If you like Disney Christmas ornaments the shop at DTD has the biggest selection on property. We usually find some things at World of Disney too.

Earl of Sandwich and spending too much money at World of Disney Myself and my family like Disney Quest as well for an afternoon if looking for a quiet day, we get rather competitive on the Pirate of the Caribbean game haha

It's basically a lot of shopping! Disney Merch shopping spree and PINS, PINS, PINS!

I usually do a 1/2 day at DTD during every WDW trip. For me, it's got a nice mix of shopping, good and interesting food, and some decent drink stops. For quick bites to eat, The Somkehouse window(outside House of Blues) has some pretty good BBQ by Disney standards. And for calorie bombs, Cookes of Dublin has some crazy good stuff on the menu. For drinks the House of Blues has the best happy hour prices on site, and the Hole in the Wall outdoor bar outside Raglan is a favorite spot for grabbing a drink and people watching. On the shopping front the new Marketplace Co-op store has become a favorite of mine. They seem to always a have a selection of newer unique gifts. My yearly Disney souvenir is usually a beer glass, and I found a cool 20,000 leagues glass there last year!

Yep ... the walls were a huge mess last year, and without the causeway open, walking around DTD was just a pain. I'm hoping things are much improved this fall as well.
