We will be at Disney Land on Monday, September 25!! very excited to go just need tips on what rides should we go on first (3 adults) and rides that are just ok, and if we have time do it later.... I also heard we can go into adventure park as well? Also, are there magic bands like Orlando ? Fast passes?

Thanks so much

Did you already buy your tickets to MHP for 9/25? It's sold out online, but they may still have some if you call (714-781-4400).

This year's MHP ticket is good for entry into both DL and DCA, starting three hours before the party. On Monday, the party starts at 6:00 pm, so you'll be able to get into DL or DCA starting at 3:00 pm.

DLR does not use Magic Bands, but they do still have FPs (and MaxPass, which is a paid version of FP). Historically, FPs have not been available in DL during the party (so the last time windows end at 6:00 pm in DL). DCA will likely offer FPs throughout the operating hours, through they may run out before the park closes (especially for the most popular attractions). My guess is that RSR and GotG: MAD will be the most popular. They said they won't start distributing GotG: MAD FPs until 3:00 pm, so there is a good chance you'll be able to get one if you go to DCA first, but the attraction won't switch over until 7:00 pm, which is after the party has started in DL. All of the party exclusive activities (trick-or-treating, parade, fireworks, Cadaver Dans, etc.) will be happening in DL, so most party goers will probably head there at the start of the party.

In DL, the most popular attractions will likely be Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy. If you've never been on either, I recommend trying to ride both during the overlap period (3-6 pm).

Personally, I would focus on the party exclusive activities and forgo the attractions unless you have time.

Thanks for your info!! Yes, we do have our tickets, looking forward to it I just saw they were sold out too I was
Shocked because I would expect closer to Halloween or weekends to be sold out first.

rides are not that crowded that night. Best advice is to wear a costume. Costumes should be creative, and not store bought, Disney or comic.com themed and coordinating for the three of you.

I think it depends on which attractions you're interested in and when you're trying to ride them. I agree that the attraction lines do shorten as the night progresses, but during the overlap and right at the start of the party, the lines can still be pretty lengthy. I've found that the lines are shortest right towards the end of the party, but that's also when it's the best time to go trick-or-treating (because those lines are really long at the start of the party).

In terms of the costumes, I've seen some pretty impressive costumes at the party. I'd say about half of the guests are wearing some kind of costume/Disney bounding and the other half are not. It's not skewed enough to make either group feel out of place. If you do opt to wear a costume, be sure to review the guidelines/rules, so you don't have any issues when you try to enter the park.

As an adult you can enter the park in our costume even tho the party hasn't officially started, correct? We have tickets for the party on the 13th that begins at 7 but obviously want to arrive at 4 to take advantage of the 3 hours prior. Can we be in costume even tho the party doesn't technically start until 7? I know under normal circumstances adults aren't allowed to be in costume so since the 3 hours prior to the party are technically still normal park hours, I want to make sure we won't get turned away.

Yes, at every party I've attended, I've seen guests (all ages) enter the parks at the start of the three hour overlap period already in costume. As long as you meet the costume guidelines for MHP, you should be fine.

So GotG will switch over to a Halloween themed ride for party evenings? What else will be at DCA that is exclusive to the party nights?

GotG will switch over to a different ride experience every night during the Halloween season, not just on party nights. All DCA Halloween décor/experiences are there for the whole season.

Will there be a line forming for the GOTG- Mad before 3? And do you have to have a fp to ride?
The GOTG overlay doesn't happen until dark, so it won't be in effect at 3.

You don't ever "have" to have a FP to ride something; you can always ride standby.

As the PP said, none of the announced HalloweenTime offerings in DCA are party exclusives. So far, all of the announced party exclusives will be over in DL.

The GotG Monsters After Dark website said they would begin distributing FP at 3:00 pm daily and the attraction would begin at 7:00 pm. GotG - Mission Breakout has operating hours that end at 6:00 pm, so my guess is they'll use that hour to empty the queue and then switch over to the Halloween version. I would guess they'll let guests line up before 7, but we won't really know how things will be until Friday when the overlay debuts.

So on days that the park closes at 8 pm that only gives 1 hour for folks to ride? That sounds like it might be chaotic! Limited fast passes? I would assume everyone with maxpass will be reserving them right at 3 pm leaving folks in line waiting for the "regular machine " a little screwed?
