Actually, FOTL is something made up on here. When you see that on this site, they are referring to Express. The Express pass system used to work just like Disney's Fastpass, then they realized they could sell it and make more money, but they also made it a nice perk for staying onsite. Definitely attracts more people to stay at the hotels than otherwise would.

Since your staying onsite each person that stays at the resort will get a room key, that is your express pass or what I like to say is front of line cause express pass has your own line and you usually just walk right up to the front.Be aware that the people in the regular line is not to happy that you ride the ride 3 or 4 times before they even get to ride once.

the express line is the same line as FOTL hotel guests must use.

either you pay for a VIP pass for the day, buy the express pass for once per ride for that day or stay on site to go to the head of the line so to say.

express pass line roxs......

Actually, FOTL is something made up on here.
I wish we could get people to stop referring to unlimited Express as FOTL since the only to get "front of the line" is to do the VIP tour.

I can imagine some newbies might go to the parks and ask where the "front of the line" line is located...not the Express...but the "front of the line" line...when there is no such thing. :sad2:

I agree - any idea why that term stuck since the only major difference between Express and Fastpass is the ability to purchase Express or have it as a perk for staying onsite?

I have no clue where FOTL came from or why it stuck on here. :confused3

The hotel brochure used to refer to it as "front of the line." Notatourist has been trying to get people to stop using the term FOTL for years. She says the only true FOTL is a VIP tour.

phamton is so correct as usual.

when you stay at the hotels, the TM's will tell you FOTL as part of their spiel.
like phamton said, it is also on all the hotel literature for the guests.

many of the tv advertisments will make a comment as:
"stay on site and go to the front of the line when you are our hotel guests."

it is a term many new hotel guests will use.
some of us here will use FOTL when answering a question from a newbie.

Do I have to carry around 4 room keys? My 12 year old autistic and my 8 year old dont usually have thier own room keys,
Do I get room keys for everyone and just carry them?
Or will my key say 4 people, 2adults, 2 children, and that will work for all of us?

I wish there was a better web site for universal, Like a Bigger DIS board or a AllEars.

The one thing I dont want to do is bring the kids on a ride that is too scary for them and then they "shut" down for the rest of the rides refusing to go on..

ive been trying to look at the rides on YOutube,

Normally...everyone in the room gets their own card with their name on it. That acts as your Express pass during your stay. You will be wise to purchase a lanyard and carry all the cards around with you.

Jumping in here, can you use your room key on the day you check out?

We plan to check out and go to the park just wondering if the Express will still work. Thanks
