Never again

An adults only cruise is looking better all the time. :)
I would pay for a Disney cruise right now if they ever did an adult's only sailing. Not even an entire ship, just one sailing. I'll ignore the prices for a 3-4 day cruise and the not so great itineraries for the Caribbean.

I know Virgin exists but that really isn't my vibe tbh

Parents too afraid to tell their precocious kids "No" or to stop doing something because they don't want to damage their delicate psyches. This is what you get. A child that has never had consequences for their actions so they think they can do as they please. I am a Gen-X and I promise you that if I acted this way as a child then I'd likely still be in a coma today. Obviously kidding but I WOULD have had my butt whooped and I did a couple of times. Guess what? I did not live in fear of my parents for spanking me, I did not grow up ill adjusted, and I never climbed a tower with a rifle. I learned respect and how to behave in public. I watched a woman try to have an adult conversation with her 3 year old once in a store. Yeah, we all know exactly how that child is going to be when they get older.

Just returned from a 7 day Norwegian Fjord cruise on the Disney Dream and it was horrible. Not the ship, not iit’s wonderful crew. Not the places we visited but the cowardly attitude off Disney Cruise Line to wake up and smell the coffee and stop appeasing those who are ruining your product. We had gangs of kids running around terrorizing adults and others all over the ship. We had adults bring there kids into adult areas, we had adults when confronted on there kids behaviors basically shrug it off. We had people playing loud music in there staterooms, we had kids running around in the dining rooms, kids running in the stateroom hallways at one in the morning. A large Spanish family cutting the lines for the dinning every night like they were royalty. Now I don’t blame Disney for creating this but do hold them accountable for not confronting these families or policing this bad behavior. Now I’m European but I have never encounter so much entitlement, cue cutting, selfish behavior on US bases cruises. We wil not take another European based cruise again and it hurts to say this as an European but this was embarresing.
My family was just on the 10 night southern carribean and heard about similar things happening and we heard a lot of people saying that they are never sailing Disney again because of this.

Just to clarify, you mean there were multiple issues with guest behavior on the 10 night? Like what kind of issues? We were going to go on that one but cancelled it.

I heard about adults being rude to other fellow adult passengers, young kids running around the ship and bugging other passengers, kids bullying other kids, teens swearing and pulling pranks on cruisers ie stealing magnets, fish-xtender gifts, etc, 18-20 year old age range being rude in the adults only area as well as around the ship after midnight. I personally didn't witness this behaviour except for kids being very silly and running around the ship but to me that was typical kid behaviour and nothing that would stop me from sailing again or ruining my trip.

We cruise a good bit. This behavior happens on the Caribbean and Bahamas cruises too. Especially when school is out and there are lots of kids on a cruise. We have personally witnessed a fist fight at satellite falls and our last cruise in May had 3 families that smoked on their balconies the whole cruise and got into a fight at the adult pool.

Disney does almost nothing - they must not want to offend anyone. We stick to cruising when kids are in school. Doesn’t solve the entitlement/not knowing how to act problem, but does seem to lessen it.

A tiktok-er was live streaming from the 10n Southern and also shared how bad behavior was (especially teens and I love teens in general). He mentioned more officers present in whites more often and it was noticeable in his videos. That being said I have heard about extremely poor behavior on the southern summer 10 night every year since the restart… maybe the sailing is too long and people just stop caring about good behavior 🤷‍♀️

I wonder if its cause its Disney people think their kids are allowed to do all that.. i cruised HAL two weeks ago. It had 1600 Dutchies onboard and the other 1000 were plenty of Europeans. Plenty of kiddos and not a single time they bothered in whatever way whereas the kids/family orientated activities are way more limited on HAL
I think that's because HAL is like the last cruise line a parent who wants a vacation from their kids picks. They are at like the bottom for keeping kids entertained. The parents taking kids on HAL are not looking to divest of their children for a week or two.

On our cruise a few spring breaks ago, I heard people in the FB group mentioning several instances of bullying among the tween/teen crowd. Not in the actual clubs, but on the basketball court and other deck areas. Like kids telling other kids to go jump overboard. Our kids are introverts and really want nothing to do with the clubs, so didn't experience any of this. It was sad to hear about this happening though, at a place that's supposed to be so fun. Other than that, there was a group or two of tween boys running through the stairwells a couple of times, but it wasn't too big a deal.

We're going on another spring break cruise & hope we'll avoid any craziness. Both kids will be Vibe age this time, not sure if they'll make use of that space at all.
