Thanks for the tip! I did the same with the $1.99 soap. Will give the Rainbath with a special washcloth called a VIC as a Christmas present.
 
The soap was no longer available so I ordered the $3.99 foot cream to get the free item and free shipping.

I thought it would show in my shopping cart - but it doesn't.

The free shipping shows, but the Rainbath doesn't -

Is that normal?

This. The Rainbath is not showing in the cart until you have over $15.99 in products in the cart. You still get free shipping with the code though.
They must have changed the terms since I posted. I'll amend the thread title to reflect that the deal is not dead but not as good as it used to be.

The total was small and I didn't create an account, but I thought it would show up on my bank statement as a purchase but it hasn't. Has anyone else ordered without setting up an account (it was optional) and has it shown up as a charge on your account?

Just want to be sure all is legit. Usually when I order something on-line, it shows up immediately as taken from my account.

There are two "pending" charges on my credit card. The first is that $1 test charge that websites do to make sure the card is legitimate. That charge should drop off in a day or two. The second is for $2.11 - the cost of the facial soap ($1.99 + 6% tax).

Did you get a confirmation email for your order? If not, did you happen to print your order page out? Either of those would have your order number on it. You can call Neutrogena's customer service to see what the status of your order is.

Very Poor customer service
Placed my order on 12/14 and a temp charge was charged to my cc that day.
I called on 12/31 and the phone rang and rang and no one answered. I did a "contact us" email, and today I was sent an email that said my order was cancelled. Well I won't buy from them anymore.
I never received my order and my the temp charged to my cc was removed.
This was the holiday promotion...
and I was never notified my email that my order was cancelled.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I hope that you were not relying on it as a holiday gift. I agree that it was poor customer service to cancel an order without notifying the customer.

My order arrive with no problems. I even had shipping updates via email. But I don't think I will be ordering from them again. I don't like not having a human being to speak with when I have a problem.
 
I called on January 2. Had placed my order early in December. The customer service rep told me that she had no record of my order number and that she would have the IT department call me. She also told me that it had probably been canceled because of the vast amount of orders. No word as of today from IT. Honestly it was supposed to be a Christmas gift, but when it did not arrive by Christmas Eve I substituted something else. For me it wasn't a make or break thing, but this is the second company that I have had this happen with. They never notified me either - I had to call to find out what was going on with my order.
 
Here is the second email I received from Neutrogena. They had no problems putting a hold on my credit card when they received my order, so I guess the technical difficulties were not with the cc processing...
Won't be ordering from them again. The items were for me, not a gift.
