Is there anyone out there who may know how I can network my laptop so I can print off it?

I have a router managing my home LAN. My desktop computer and printer are connected directly to it, and my laptop uses wireless to connect to it. The router came with instructions for configuring the laptop to print through the network to the printer. Each router may be different so my instructions probably won't help you. Incidentally, I'm also able to share my desktop's connection to the printer on the network, and then print from my laptop using that shared printer connection.

Thanks.. my router didn't come with instructions. But I was trying to print off a printer that was not connected to my router or even my main computer.. maybe thats why it won't work.

Your router didn't come with instructions??? :confused3

Nope... I'll ask my mom again.. but I'm pretty sure it's a no.

for the most part, the only way a printer can print wirelessly (without a connection to a desktop or laptop) is if the printer itself has a special wireless adapter (the printer would say so or you could google search to see).

Most don't ( some have a CD ) but you can download from the manufactors web-sight .

But the Printer must be connected in some way to the Network as well for it to be used by everything on the network.

Late to the party on this one, but file and printer sharing is your friend, wireless or not.
