As a former pro Microsoft and IE user I am really liking the newest release of Netscape 7.0. What do you all think???

One Word ~ TABS
They are great.
I also like the sidbar a lot too.
The whole thing is very smooth.
Big 7.0 fan here too.

Yes Dan I have to agree having everything in on interface is great. I have email, and IM in the same session and no CRASHING!!!! I hate the message that say would you like to send a report to Microsoft . What do I work for them???
Give it a try Dan you may become a CONVERT

Does it 'remember' previous entries, (ID's, passwords, etc) like IE does. That one feture alone would keep me using IE.

I don't even have Netscape on my hard drive anymore, maybe I will give it a look.

Yes it remembers passwords, forms etc.
You can manage those along with your cookies, certificates among many other things.
If you do it right you should be able to import your address books and bookmarks upon your initial setup.
I know you would love the tabs Dan, you can have several tabs in one window, thus 6 or 7 windows within a single window. Very easy to navigate that way.

I am using it now. I'll play with it on and off and see if I can be a convert also. Always willing to try new things. I even tried Opera some time back. It did import addresses and bookmarks. Tabs? I have 20 windows open at times, LOL.

What is different about the tabs as compared to the web locations on the IE Taskbar??

Hmm... locations??? you might have shown me a new feature I never knew about in IE before. Not sure maybe Betz could answer this one

Right now I have 14 tabs in one window that are right there on top easily accessable.
Which leaves my sidebar available for my bookmarks. Add the two together and you can fly on the web navigating like speedboat on smooth water.
Use the shortcut keys and the only time you have to type anything is to respond or search.
I find it smoother than IE.

We have it and I hate it! I can be in a middle of a page and the thing just shuts off, and I have to go back on. And I do get alot of "problem ' notifications to report back to microsoft. Never had any problems with 6.

Can't be IE... just checked and 6 is the highest. Not sure I am willing to go back to Netscape either right now. Maybe I'll have my DH do a test run on his computer but after version 4 or 5, I found them not to be very stable on Windows OSs at all. What did you use before you switched to Netscape?
