I apologize in advance that I am repeating this question, but I fogot I posted it and now that search is down I can't find it.

Anyway.....does anyone have any experience with netflix.com? I would love to hear the good or the bad.

Thanks.

I'm a member of Netflix and love it. It's just so convenient to just receive and return the DVDs through the mail. You receive them pretty quickly too. And I haven't had any problem getting the popular ones right away (unlike the video store). There's a flat fee of $20/mo. so I figure I need to watch at least five movies during the month to make it cost effective. Sometimes I feel kind of pressured to watch the movies quickly so I'll get my money's worth! You can have three movies in your possession at any given time; every time you return one they send you another one from your list. Even though I really like it, I'll probably quit soon because the list of movies I want to see is getting shorter, so pretty soon it won't be worth it to me. I may switch to one of the services where you pay by the movie instead of by the month.

We love it. No late fees, ever!

I like that you can put all the movies you are interested in watching on your list and then rearrange them in the order that you would like to see them. We check our list every time we return a movie, and put the ones at the top of our list that sound the best at that time. Now we always have a rental waiting when we have a free evening. It's great.

My DH joined netflix.com after he bought our DVD player. So far it has worked great. They email you a confirmation when they receive the DVD back. As long as you have movies in your cue - they will send you more when they receive some back.

We have all been a little annoyed at DH's choices. I can't handle Blackhawk Down and Saving Private Ryan in one weekend.

We've had it for almost 2 years & love it! Blockbuster was our only local choice & we didn't like them. We were lucky because when we signed up it was 4 movies at a time for $20 so we get one more than new members.

The only problems we've had were late last Fall. 2 or maybe 3 DVDs were lost or really, really delayed. Our postoffice is the one in NJ where the Anthrax letters were sorted & it was closed. we thought the NJ mail problems may have contributed to the lost DVDs. Actually, the post office is still closed & is not expected to reopen until Spring 2003. Can you believe that?

If one never arrives at your house or at Netflix, you just tell them it was lost & they resend it. If it eventually gets there they take it off the "lost" list.

we have it and love it, although don't use it much in the summer. We were actually going to cancel our membership, but we downgraded to 2 dvds/13.95 for the summer months.

The best part is the "no late fees ever"..I'm not allowed to go to my local library......LOL...if you know what I mean....

We LOVE it!!! Started our membership last month and have watched more movies than ever before. The turn around is really fast! It's usually less than a week between the time I drop a movie in the mail to the time we get the next one on our list!

Just to add, when we had an entire month of weekends busy, I called to cancel and, told them why. The customer service rep. said, rather than lose my list and start all over again, he could 'suspend' my account (no charge that month) and, I'd still be a customer, list intact, ready to resume the following month! I thought that was Great! :Pinkbounc

I enjoy it. I doubt I get my money's worth, but the convience is great! (I have had the same 3 movies for a month! Finally watched Oceans 11 last night!) I am the kind who decides I want to watch a movie after I get home and I don't want to go back out! This way I have movies here (otherwise I just rewatch things I own. I have Star Trek Insurrection memorized!)

I have only had two problems (one movie was cracked in transit and one just did not play).

We have used Netflix around 6 months. It is very convenient and their service so far has been good.
I once had a DVD (Princess Diaries) that stopped in the middle. I had a heck of a time getting it to play forward, but was able to.
I just contacted them that it did this. And they marked it as non-playable and sent me my next selection before the PD was received by them.
I have had a few times lately where we have mailed three DVD's back, at the same time, INSIDE a post office lobby.
But Netflix acted like they received them over a period spanning 4 days.
The first time it happened we figured it might be the post office.
But it happened again just recently. Now we are wondering...
But that's the worse I can say.
I like their selection. That's mainly what got me started.

I've been using Netflix since June. All my dvd's have arrived quickly and worked fine. It's very convenient although I probably don't get my $ worth. I'll probably cancel it after a few more months.

Oh, be careful opening the envelope when it arrives. I didn't realize it was a postage paid return mailer too!

I love my Netflix subscription. If I mail a movie on Monday, my new one arrives on Friday. I currently have 80 movies on my list. I used to never see movies. I don't like to go to the theater because of the cost and our theaters in this area are in poor condition. I wait for movies to come out on video, but I hate trying to find movies at the video store, due dates and late fees. With Netflix, I get to watch the movies when it's convenient for me. I have not had any problems with the movie quality or service with Netflix.
