Netflix - can you watch online w/ DSL?

We have our netflix streaming through the HDtivo and the router thingy for the tivo.

The other night for our "date" night my husband and I watched the same movie 600 miles apart. I watched on our big tv and he watched on his laptop in his room. I also love that we can watch different things at the same time. We do the one disc out at a time and the instant viewing is worth as much as the dvd service.

Tina, you are so right about that. Dh will watch something on one laptop and I can watch something different on my netbook. This weekend I am going to have him look to see if our Blu-Ray Player has wireless abilities. We had our cable turned off and will use our Netflicx more and save about $40/mo.

We have DSL and have watched quite a few things on both the computer and through our LG bluray player that is Netflix enabled. Only once have we had a problem with the streaming - the video would jump a frame or two so it looked almost like stop-motion animation but the audio was fine. Only happened once, though. Every other time has been just fine.

The only downside: not all (many?) Netflix streaming videos are in HD.
