netbook/laptop

I need to purchase a new laptop for my business. I was considering buying a netbook but I am worried that I am going to spend all that money and not really get what I want. I just really need it to send emails out on and use the web for my business. What is everyones thought on the netbook or would you rather have a laptop?

We have both, and honestly, the netbook is okay, but it is really small. If you are going to be using it all day, then I would go with a new laptop. It's kind of a pain to scroll up and down and side to side just so you can see everything on the screen. We now use it as a backup second computer, and my husband and I often "race" to use the laptop if we are both going to be using the computer at the same time. We both hate the netbook. It does do what it is supposed to do, it's just the size that is a pain. We have friends that have both as well, and they say the same thing. We recommend to people we know not to waste their money on it, spend a little more and buy a new laptop.

I have a netbook and like it. However, it's not my main computer. I have a desktop in my living room that I use for everything. The netbook is used at night when I'm in my bedroom or on the couch with one of my kids. It's the only reason I bought it.

If it was my only computer or I was going to use it for school or something for business, I'd get a laptop. For my purposes, the netbook works fine.

I was wondering if it was going to be too small. I have a desk top but I wanted a lap top so that I could work on a different level when I was home with the kids, also I wanted one that the kids did not have access to. It looks like I need to spend a little extra and get a laptop. Thanks.

Here's another vote for getting a laptop. If its the size of the netbook you like, I saw a small laptop (about 13.5") at Walmart this weekend. I think it was a Toshiba.
