My friend Sydney is like weeks.. maybe even days from having her first son :goodvibes She's not due until March 4th, three days after her 16th birthday.
But she's already started dilating. Hopefully he'll come sooner! please pray that he comes out a healthy little baby boy :thumbsup2

I'm so excited to see that little bundle of joy!

She'll definitely be in my thoughts. Is she putting it up for adoption or planning on raising it herself?

15 and pregnant?
  :sad2:   :faint:
I can NOT imagine being pregnant right now.

Kudos to her. Her life is NOT going to be easy. Here's to a happy, healthy baby!

Thats cool, i cant even imagine having baby at 15 - 16! I hope the baby is healthy and strong! :upsidedow

Wow. She has my good thoughts. It's going to be hard, which I'm sure she knows.

My friend got pregnant at 17 and had her baby girl last year at 18. She's doing ok, but doesn't have very good money management skills.

OT - I'm taking Personal Finance now, we basically learn to budget, file taxes, etc. There are 20 kids in the class, and I'm one of 4 sophomores. The rest are juniors and seniors. It's intimidating to say the least.

She's raising it herself. She has an amazing family that has been supporting her through it all. Her boyfriend of 3 years is behind her through this, and all of her friends are also.

I will keep her in my thoughts.

Be as supportive as you can. Help her keep up with her school work! Remind her that she needs to stay in school for the baby so that one day she can provide for it. I wish the best to your friend. She is brave for keeping it. I'm the same age and there is no way i would be able to support a kid on the $58 a week i make

good luck to your friend. as the product of a teenage mother, i hope she finds a way to care for her child as well as possible. and i hope they're happy.

i was the only sopho in my chem honors class. the rest were juniors/seniors.

and about the money stuff, oh yes. its veeeeeeeeryyyyyy intimidating. i'm moving out over the summer to move in with my boyfriend, we're going to be going to the same college in the same town so we're saving money by living together. luckily, my boyfriend has a BS in accounting and will be working as a cpa assistant (aka, we won't be wanting for money with both of us working.) and he also knows all of the budgeting bill paying tax filing stuff that i've never been taught. he's been teaching me bit by bit so far, so i won't be completely clueless when it comes time to go apartment hunting. i'd be lost without him though.

Best of luck to her!
Newborns are a TON of work! Hope she's up for the task.

Nah Shelby, I was talking about being one of 4 sophomores LOL! Matt (?) is an accounting pro, so I'd say you're in good hands.
