nervous about late check-in. Advice?

Hi all,
Here's the situation. We are due to fly in to MCO at 9:45 p.m. 11/26. I have a reservation through Hotelkingdom for Hawthorn Suites LBV for 11/29 - 12/9. This means I need a reservation somewhere for three nights. Hawthorn suites is sold out on 11/26 and 11/27 but Hotelkingdom shows availability for 11/28.

Originally, I was thinking of trying Cypress Pointe (not grandvillas) for the first three nights through Hotelkingdom but now that we have our flight reserved and I know that we won't be checking in anywhere until 11:00 p.m. at night, it makes me nervous. I have heard mixed things about this property and although I would like to try it for myself I don't want any problems to deal with at that time of night.

I thought maybe we could stay near the airport that first night and then do Cypress Pointe for the two nights but they have a three day minimum and I would really like to keep the checking in and out of hotels to a minimum.

So my question is what would you do? 1.) Risk booking Cypress Pointe for the first three nights with late check-in. 2.) Book somewhere else for the first three days. Any suggestions of where? I was thinking maybe the Sheraton Safari.

Hawthorn Suites has availability for your dates through their website. Prehaps Hotel Kingdom sold out their quota.

Ask Hotel Kingdom to check and see if they can get you the dates, if not call the hotel and see if they're willing to book the additional nights at a rate similar to what hotel kingdom is offering.

We had a late check in at Vistana Villages last November (we finally made it from the airport around 12:30am) and had no problems. I called the resort the day we were arriving to let them know of the late arrival. Have a great trip!

I agree with both the other posters. I would call Hawthorn Suites and see if you can get the same rate. I don't think you will have any problem with late check-in at Cypress Pointe as long as you are not asking for anything in particular like ground floor or near pool and such. Call them on that day and tell them you are checking in late. You might even call them on your way from the airport to the hotel, they may have all your info waiting for you.
