Nervous about Kidani now....

We love Kidani! I try to Psych myself out and stay somewhere else but we just love it there! You can get to Jambo on any theme park bus or walk it is about a 10 min walk from Lobby to Lobby another way is to take the shuttle. The pool is smaller but a lot of fun with activites in the afternoon.

I really think that some people on Trip Advisor have no idea what it means to stay at WDW or a timeshare. No WDW resort has free wi-fi in the rooms and more than half the resorts at WDW have a long bus ride to at least one park. The coffee comment is really strange. I can't believe someone expected coffee packets delivered in less than an hour to their room. I'm actually surprise they got it that fast at any timeshare resort.

We stayed at the Jambo house last June and found ourselves going over to Kidani every afternoon for the pool. It is a great place to relax. We also enjoyed Sanaa.

Kidani all the way!!! We love Kidani Village. It is quiet and relaxing compared to the hustle of Jambo house. We request to stay in the Giraffe section so the walk to Jambo house is shorter. The pool at Kidani is sooo much better than at Jambo IMO. When we were there in late Feb, they had added many more beaded activities at Kidani for the children. Plus, the extra bathroom is awesome in the 1 & 2 bedroom villas. We have always had lots of animal sightings at Kidani too.

You made the right choice!!!!

wow , this post made me feel so much better, we are heading there in July,, I could not wait before now I really can not wait to see the one bedrooms .....:thumbsup2

We stayed at Kidani and Jambo both at our last stay at Disney this past November. HANDS DOWN I prefer Kidani!!! Love the quieter atmosphere (Jambo was too noisy and "hotel" to me) and our room was bigger and the extra bathroom (in the 1 BR+) was key. Most kids like the Kidani pool area much more. We also ate at Boma several times for breakfast and it wasn't an issue AT ALL getting there. They have a shuttle bus that goes back and forth between the 2 (never longer than a 5 minute wait for us) and the busses to the parks all take you there if you go to the bus stop and just take the next park bus that shows up.

Our next trip I purposely booked Kidani and in the future will not choose to stay at Jambo unless we absolutely cannot get Kidani. We had family (there were 11 of us total) and everyone preferred Kidani!

We love Kidani (Me 59, DD 38, and GodD 18). We love the space and walk to Jambo if necessary for snacks. We usually get a 1 br and it works out just fine.

We liked Kidani much more than Jambo. It's not a long walk from one to the other, so lack of CS isn't really that big a deal. Just walk the 5 mins to Mara.

It's great to be able to park your car under the resort so it's not in the sun. Plus it's a short walk.

Kidani's pool area is second to none for little kids.

Sanaa is one of our fave TS places on property.

Much quieter, more relaxing feel to Kidani vs. Jambo.

Busses pick up Kidani first on the way to the parks. You'll likely get a seat if going at peak times. Those getting on at Jambo had to stand.

As much as I respect Trip Advisor for hotel reviews, my only exception is Disney hotel reviews. I get much better information here on the DisBoards. Most DISers have stayed at multiple resorts many times and offer much more realistic feedback. So don't give those Trip Advisor reviews a second thought!

Oh and we toured Kidani last year - loved so it so much we are spending our vacation there next week!

We are doing a split stay starting on 4/22 and chose Kidani even though we had the option of Jambo in a 1BR Savannah view. Now I am nervous after reading some pretty bad reviews on TripAdvisor. Should I try to switch? I just barely made the ressie a few day ago. I initially chose Kidani because generally we prefer a quieter feel, but then I read people prefer Jambo for access to restaurants, a better pool etc. and I am hoping we didn't make a mistake. Please tell me the things you LOVE about Kidani?

There is NO WAY the pool at Jambo is better than the one at Kidani. We absolutely loved Kidani last year. It was quiet, the animals were really cool, and my kids LOVED the pool and wet play area. Yes, not having a CS restaurant is a bit of a bummer, but we did a little cooking while there, so it was no big deal. The underground/underbuilding parking is fantastic. Only thing is, try to request a room near the lobby or pool if you want to be near either... some of the rooms are a pretty good walk to them if you are out on the end of a wing. You will love it.

I especially like the Kidani pool for feeling so open. At Jambo, you have a high building on three sides and the fourth side is pretty much blocked by vegetation.
