Nero by Mephisto

Does anyone own or have experience with the Nero by Mephisto shoes? I was thinking they might be good for our upcoming June trip but they are awfully pricey to be wrong. I need breathable shoe (hot June feet!) with a wide toe box but a narrow ankle.

Any suggestions are welcome,too (no Crocs, don't even waste your "breath").
