I just had a Disney geekout!

I don't live near the Parks or anything Disney for that matter so any kind of Disney "sighting" is rare. A few minutes ago I was hopping on an escalator with my lunch when I noticed the writing on the jacket of the person in front of me. It read: "WED Imagineering." At that very moment my face turned red, I popped out my iBuds (which was playing the DIS podcast) and started franticly trying to think of how I could strike up a converstation with a stranger who was with his friends presumably on his lunch break also. All I managed to do was make creepy eye contact a few times. *sigh*

Has anyone else ever had a moment like this, seeing a DVC shirt at the mall or heard someone on the bus talking about their trip to the World?

I always want to say something but have never had the guts.

Cool! I wish you had just said "nice jacket - I'm a huge fan of WDW!".
Sadly, I've never had a DISer sighting that I know of. And unless I am somewhat acquainted with someone talking about WDW, I stay quiet. I'm definitely not embarrassed about my love of WDW, but I also don't want to appear to be that crazy WDW know-it-all either :)

How cool. I think I would have said something....on PCC 2.0, I was wandering around on Deck 9 when I looked up and saw Pete !!! My mouth dropped and I went up to him and introduced myself (so glad that I did too)....he welcomed me and gave me a hug...it was great.

I happened to be visiting my hometown of La Crosse, WI when I went to the midnight premiere of Ironman 2. I was COMPLETELY geeking out during the whole dad story line since it was OBVIOUSLY Walt Disney and so OBVIOUSLY EPCOT!!! No one around me even flinched LOL

Here in NYC I've had a few mini-sightings. Once in Trader Joe's someone was wearing a Snow White Animation Team jacket. Also, once in that same Trader Joe's one of the crew got on the intercom and said "Paging Mr. Morrow - Mr. Tom Morrow."

Recently, DH was on a trip to FL and sat next to a design guy for Disney. Apparently the guy designed the DCP website. It was kind of funny since my best friend is starting the DCP next week!

On my sister's first trip to Disney, a couple of years back, her and her daughter wore their tiaras on the plane. There were four gentlemen who struck up a conversation with them calling them princesses and all. By the time they arrived in Florida, they found out that these four men were one of the quartets that perform on Main St. How magical was that before they even got to Disney.

They were able to see them while they were there working and got pictures with them in the park!

My sis has been in love with Disney ever since!!:lovestruc
