I agree it seems strange if he doesn't eat solid foods at almost 3. You'd think everyone in the family would know if this is a health issue they were dealing with.
I'd say be relieved you won't be seeing them as often, stay strong in your house rules at your own home, and otherwise try to stay out of it.
