WWYD: Late Friday night (park closes at 11 PM) or very first thing on Saturday morning (8:00 MM)???

Are they still allowing everyone to Find Nemo as long as they're in line by the official park closing time?

I'll be a solo adult and figure I'll be "too excited to sleep" (like in the ads), so a late bed time plus early morning is not an issue. I just want to maximize the little park time I'll have on my one-night stay!

I vote for park closing time on Friday. That's what worked best for us when we were there in Nov.

I agree with closing time too. We did that on a Saturday night last month at about 11:35ish.. And we waited in line about 20 minutes..

Good question! - maybe that will work for me too...Thanks for posting that ?!

If you only have one MM day, I'd say evening as well. It's better to use your MM on Fantasyland where you can get 6-7 rides done instead of just one.

Right after the fireworks worked great for us.

We are going to try first thing in the morning on Sat. Feb. 9th. I know we will be at the park early waiting to make a mad dash for Nemo.

You better have Magic Morning priviledges or else the line will already be long when you enter the park.

Pick up The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland 2008 by Bob Sehlinger. They have detailed touring plans for Disneyland and Cal Adventure, and their plans work.

I think more important than whether the line (for Nemo) is longer at rope drop vrs. late at night......(imo) is the lost opportunity to do FL &/or other rides so blissfully uncrowded in the very early morning.

Even if the line at Nemo is a little longer in the evening than in the morning (& it doesn't sound like it is), FL will take much longer to enjoy in the evening than first thing in the morning. Any which way one does it, Nemo will eat up 40-60 min.

In the 40 min. - hour it takes to "do" Nemo at rope drop (or during MM/EE) you can ride 6-9 rides in FL.....something that can only be done the first hour of the day (unless DL is open to midnite or 2 am or sumthin.)

& it's even MORE important to do FL (at least once on a trip) first....if a family is traveling with little ones & you want to enjoy FL when the young ones are fresh & with an uncrowded FL.

The only time we didn't have a long wait was just before the parked closed. I think we got in line about 15min to midnight and had a 30min wait. If your going to be in the park all day good luck.
