Had the opportunity to ride the new Nemo ride yesterday. Here is a brief review.
The que is situated inside, and it looks like you are under water. It was a very weird feeling being in there, and I don't think I would like to spend more than 10 minutes in that situation. You board moving clam shells (think Bette Midler). The clam shells are a lot like the doom buggies in the HM, but they do not rotate at all, they just face out the entire ride. The ride vehicles go past multiple screens where you see video clips of Nemo and his friends and family. I have not seen the movie (I know, BAD MIKE!) But I know enough about it to get the drift of the storyline of the ride. Nemo is lost and we are following him on his journey. You go through a small scene where there are Jelly Fish floating all over the room, then past even more screens showing even more movies of the cast of Nemo. The last two scenes of the ride are the only part that impressed me. They have taken videos of Nemo and pals, and somehow projected them into the actual Living Seas. It really looks like Nemo and pals are behind the glass! It was an awesome effect, and looks very life like! While this attraction blows the old attraction out of the water
I still don't think I would wait more than 15 minutes for it. If you have kids that are obsessed with the Nemo movie, I'd wait 20 minutes. The entire ride takes about 10 minutes. There are also three autioanimotronic seagulls on the rocks outside of the building that are pretty cute.
