Nemo ride and small children worth it?

DH and I are trying to plan out our Dec trip with our 4 year old... Neither one of us have ever been on the Finding Nemo ride. Is it worth it and/or fun for a 4 year old? I heard it was standing the entire time? What are some opinions of the ride? (Personally mom would rather ride the Haunted Mansion an extra time then this ride)

It's not standing... You go down in a sub and there are seats and you watch out the window... I would think most 4 year olds would get a major kick out of it. Mine did at that age!

We rode it last year and it was....ok. We had to wait a long time and it was raining so I don't know if that plays a part in my not loving it, but for me it was just meh. We have a 2 and 6 year old. The ride is very dark and you are crammed in with a lot of other people, it was pretty stuffy. But, if you like Nemo (or your kids do) than it's fun!! Your 4 year old might like it

Yes, you are seated (although you may be standing in line for awhile! lol), and IMHO, the ride is awesome...a favorite of mine and my two teens. My DH skips it because he says he feels claustrophobic. But again, we love it, and it's so cute and well done.

Thanks so much for the replies! It really really helps. So DS just loves Nemo.... so I think I can talk DH into it since it's not standing the whole time. So we will add it to our touring plans. My 4 year old will thank you.

I like the Nemo ride, I'm somewhat claustrophobic as well but if I lean forward and let the "fresh" air blow around my face it helps a lot.
It's a cute ride, lines can be long because it loads slowly and it is sort of a long ride, but it is fun and I do enjoy it.

It's not a ride I recommend for everyone, but if you have a 4 year old that loves Nemo, it's a no-brainer, provided he isn't afraid of the dark.

Every time we ride Nemo our 3 yr old and grandpa fall asleep lol. The ride is neat, but just long and slow.

It's the one ride DS doesn't want to ride anymore because it's so LOUD. Even though early morning is a good time for lines, we cannot ride it very first b/c DS isn't quite awake enough to deal with being "underwater" and having the noise of the sound effects and captain's voice.

At 4 he still dealt with it, but you just never know. And my guy is 8, and we are fine revealing secrets of rides to him. We had a long conversation about the ride building during our last trip, because he just insisted that it's all under water, etc. With a 4 year old you don't necessarily want to do that.


There IS a viewing area that doesn't involve the sub, and is just a room, where you can watch it, if someone has claustrophobic problems or an inability to get down into the subs, by the way.

It was one of our kids favorites when we were there and they were 4 and 5. It's of course going to be hit or miss with any kid like all rides are, but if your four year old knows Nemo and likes the movie it's definitely something you'll want to try at least once

My kids grandpa fell asleep 3 minutes into it too...

My 2 1/2 year old and 1 year old LOVED it. Since it is more slow loading we hit it as one of the first rides and had maybe a 10 min wait.

My DD was 2 when she rode it and loved it. The adults didnt care for it as much and we managed to avoid it last trip. But I am sure DD would still love it and she is now 4. We will likely try and get on it once this next trip.
