I keep going back and forth on this, so what do you all think? We're (me and DD15) at DL Monday pm through Thursday mid-morning. 5 for 3 hoppers, only one EE day plus the entry to mttmm. My plan right now is to arrive Monday 2-3pm and hit parades and fireworks, and maybe some DCA. EE on Tues am, so hit FL and TL then rest of park as time allows. But Wed, non EE day. We can either hit mttmm first thing and do that or go straight for Nemo, then tour the park. Which would you do with a teen? I guess I really want to know what happens at the mttmm? Is it worth it? We could do tt Thurs am for the rides and character greetings, but what would we miss compared to the mttmm? Thanks!!

Personally, being the age of your DD, I find MTTMM kinda pointless. If I could make a suggestion, I wouldn't do either. Toontown can easily be done anytime especially because Roger Rabbit (the longest line) has an unnetworked FastPass, meaning that you can get one even if you are already holding onto another ride's FP. Nemo (as we have found out here) is probably best done in the afternoon/evening when the line is the shortest. Try either Tomorrowland or Adventureland/Frontierland on your non-EE day.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I hadn't heard that nemo's lines were shorter in the afternoon/evening. We went in October and, at the advice of ridemax, went to nemo first thing on a non-EE day (we didn't have EE). We sprinted to Nemo and were on the third sub. The line seemed to be crazy long the rest of the day. Has that changed since October? We are going again in May with family that hasn't seen Nemo and, personally, I don't think it is worth standing in too long of a line for. When is the best time to go? (Sorry, I'm sure this question has been answered a gazillion times but the search feature isnt' working...:) .)

What worked for my family in November was waiting until 3 minutes prior to park closing time before entering the que. We waited a total of 20 minutes.

Thanks for the advice!! And for the "hijiacker" :goodvibes , I know ridemax just updated their strategy for nemo last week, but haven't reread it yet, so maybe they have changed. I think I might try to do Nemo Monday night. Do you think I'd have to wait until close to closing, or would it be ok during f! and/ or fireworks?

You know, with a 15 year old, I think that even if you end up in a longer Nemo line it won't be horrid. It's a pleasant line, if lines can be pleasant, you have people-watching that you can do...it should be fine even if you get stuck with a longer line.

But of course also a 15 year old can stay up later than a little one, so towards the end of the day would be fun too! Sanctioned staying up late, woohoo! :rotfl:

MTTMM, here's what happens. You enter, you wander around a little bit. Then they have a little parade to get the people and characters over to the stage area. They introduce an honorary family of the day, who were picked while everyone was wandering around before the little parade, after they do a song and dance. The Mayor, Mickey, comes out. Now after that I'm not clear on, b/c as soon as the honorary family (us) was introduced the skies opened up and it poured rain. So there might be something to end the show, but we don't know. :) Then everyone got in line for Mickey's house to meet some characters. It's cute, and I'm glad we did it with my 3 year old so we know what it's all about (and we can forever say that his cuteness is what got us "honorary family", though that "honor" was nothing but getting a scroll thing and being on stage for a moment), but even if we had scads of other kids I can't really imagine doing MTTMM again.

thanks for the description bumbershoot!! I really appreciate it! And she would love the "sanctioned staying up late"!! So, I guess nemo is an indoor ride and it doesn't make a difference day or night?? Sorry, I'm a newbie who is also a chronic planner!

Nemo is under water. :) You're in an enclosed sub, though you can get close to the window and look up, and see the surface of the water. Therefore, riding in day vs night is a little different, because the water will have daylight vs manmade lights on it. But there's really not much difference at all. And of course standing in line as the sun goes down, all the neon of Tomorrowland makes such a pretty environment.
