I am looking to rent a house but don't know which neighborhood would be closest to US/IOA. Every map i find has Disney as the central area.
I am bringing a small group and don't want to be ccramped in a hotel room.
Thanks
This was my frustration when I started looking to rent a villa. After much reading and research (as the above poster stated) it is the area around US that is the problem. It is in a different county than Disney and it does not allow short-term rentals (ie: under 30 days, I think)
Here are some villa location maps:

You can almost picture the invisible county line where short term rental is allowed as the neighborhoods stack up surrounding it.
If your party is small enough to use mareed's suggestion, I would look into that.
Our group was ranging from 9 - 15 when I started my search. Once we confirmed 9 of us sharing we booked a 5 bedroom villa. We are staying on site at RPR for one night (two rooms) to do the parks and the much coveted FOTL perk. Our villa is for the rest of our stay and just chillin' with family. Since we have 7 days on the US tickets, we may venture back, but being one of the busiest weeks of the year, we may not
Good Luck! Once you start looking for a villa rental, it can become quite overwhelming

But exciting too. most of those homes are just so beautiful!!
