Within reason, sure. But, that may be easier said than done when Disney certainly isn't discounting the experience. If they're charging for a full experience, they need to deliver on it. The kinks and bugs should be worked out in test cruises, and if they didn't have enough time for enough test cruises, then that's not something the guest should have to suffer through.Anyone sailing in the first 4-6 months after the crap show that’s been the last 2 years- HAS to have grace and be able to roll with it.

Yeah, and then they forgot about the fact that they made the adult pool area way too small on the Dream and ended up retrofitting Satellite Falls onto her, and seemingly have done the exact same thing with the Wish.Even the Dream class has seen modifications and improvements over its decade of service.
Those seem pretty minor to cause anything so dramatic as "couldn't wait to get off the ship" and "worst cruise experience ever" but without details their feedback doesn't mean much honestly.I will check this review out, thanks
Their complaints were chiefly about the food, the staterooms being smaller, and the ship being more difficult to navigate, things being less accessible.
The updated deck plans show a very large outdoor adult area with really great views. Is it specifically the pool size that's problematic?Yeah, and then they forgot about the fact that they made the adult pool area way too small on the Dream and ended up retrofitting Satellite Falls onto her, and seemingly have done the exact same thing with the Wish.
Correct. My comment was more directed at the comment below. No regular paying guest should have an experience that's not what it was billed to be.But these *are* test cruises. There are no paying customers, yet.

To be fair, these numbers are not accurate. The Dream and Fantasy have 14 elevators (4 aft, 6 midship, 4 forward). And one could argue that having three elevator banks (and perhaps equally importantly 3 stairwells) is more convenient when getting around the ship.I'm actually looking forward to moving throughout the ship to visit the various lounges. Having them all in one area always seemed restrictive to me. The Fantasy/Dream have 12 elevators split across three banks where the Wish has 16 elevators split across two banks and the two banks are not in the Grand Hall which I think is a good thing. We shall see how difficult it will be to navigate the various decks. I'll know in 8 days! Can't wait!
The pool size, there being only one hot tub way off to the side (and right near the Aquamouse exit so you get noise from there, and the fact that there looks to be NO loungers in the shade. As a very pale person I need shade. The updated deck plans show a very large outdoor adult area with really great views. Is it specifically the pool size that's problematic?
Yep, you are correct. The Dream and Fantasy have 14 elevators and not 12. What's interesting is that the Forward bank and the mid bank are close together compared to the aft bank. I'll get a feel for the two banks of 8 elevators concept in 7 days!To be fair, these numbers are not accurate. The Dream and Fantasy have 14 elevators (4 aft, 6 midship, 4 forward). In terms of MDR food, maybe they hadn’t been on a cruise before or just expected the food quality to pick up because it’s a new ship. I’m not saying the food is bad, but It’s not the best but it’s good for the amount of food they need to serve each night and we still enjoy it.In looking at the Youtuber videos on the christening cruise, there were so many guests on that sailing I doubt they are all just youtubers and bigwigs and suspect it did in fact include some CMs who had their earlier cruise cancelled. Maybe they didn't have enough room on the ship to make it open to everyone from the CM cruises, but did it based on number of years with the company or something.
From what I can tell, not everything was up and running for the christening cruise--they did not have all the stage shows, and daytime activities were limited and not typical--e.g., more guest lectures about the building of the ship, less trivia and game shows. If entertainment is a big factor in what you enjoy about the cruise, this media cruise was not a good representation of what will be available when regular guests start sailing.
Kind of surprised to hear the complaint about the food--the MDR offerings don't look all that different from the other ships to me, and the pool deck quick service options really seem to be much improved from what I can see. I definitely see the ship being more difficult to navigate. I've watched a bunch of deck by deck walkthroughs and the layout is far less intuitive than the old ships because things are all over the place--there are shops and bars/lounges spread over several floors and fwd/aft/mid instead of clustered together like on the older ships; only two elevator banks will make it harder to get up and down floors, and it is just a bigger ship.
having been a kitchen supervisor at a new restaurant opening, this is normal. I worked for Hard Rock Cafe, I was opening staff at their Munich restaurant. It took months for us to get every food item and ever menu item correct every day. With a new restaurant opening, not only are you learning new recipes and food prep procedures, you are learning new company procedures AND trying to work as a team with people you don't know.
I would NEVER EVER give a bad food review to a brand new restaurant or in this case, the food on a ship that has only sailed at max twice yet.
Edited:Or will 2 more mid-ish banks be better?
Math wise it’s the aft bank that moved up- fast math shows on the Dream class it’s 15 rooms front of ship to forward elevators, 15 rooms from forward to mid, 40 rooms from mid to aft and 8 rooms from aft to back of ship compared to Triton class of 20 rooms from front of ship to forward elevators 30 rooms from forward to aft elevators and 20 rooms from aft to rear of ship
And how good to get some exercise! I think its fantastic
What isn't fantastic is the Table situation in restaurants once again, Disney need to at the very least ask people for a questionaire on their own wishes/personality profiles if they're going to insist on people sharing tables. I couldnt think of anything worse than getting stuck with some Woke socialist family at a table for 4 nights....
