she made it through the night. we woke her up every 4 hours for her dose of tylenol w/ codeine - and she is still sleeping!!

Glad to hear she is doing OK!
I think you were smart to keep dosing her on the meds. If you can "stay ahead of the pain" I think she will be far more comfortable. Once the meds wear off and she is complaining of pain you are kind of heading down a slippery slope! Make sure she is staying hydrated, even if she doesn't want anything to drink. That codeine can make her constipated (I know, more info than you wanted) so lots of liquids can help with that!

Wally - that is GROSS!

Also - the new rule is NO ICE CREAM! They don't want them having anything with dairy for about a week.

So, it is all ices, jello, and "soft" foods. Although she ate chicken, broccoli, mashed potatoes, and biscuits last night.

Yes, we are staying ahead of the pain!

Dads are okay - still exhausted - but okay!
