Needing to rent @450 points, DVC member since 1998

This year my husband and I would like to take all my children on the Disney Cruise. We have two new grandchildren!! With my points saved from last year and borrowed from next year I need another 450.

I'm looking to rent 450 points at a reasonable rate. The date we will try to book is 2/1/2004 or some other date in the value season.

Wouldn't cash be cheaper?

I have always heard that points for the cruise are valued by Disney at $4-6, maybe $7 each. Renting for $10 or so, seems to be a poor deal.

I know the one time we cruised, it was very easy to pay some with cash and some with points. Maybe rent one person in each room on points and the others for cash.

I may be completely wrong, but I believe you will come ut cheaper like this.

Richyams is right! You would be better off renting your points out and taking that money to pay cash for your families cruise.
