Needing to add more nights.

please help me figure this out. I am booked in the free dining package. On July 9th I called to add nights and was told none was available. If people cancel their free dining for a room only discount for the nights and hotel I need will I be able to add to my package or am I going to have to just get room only discounts since free dining is over?
