needed: microwavable travel mug, NOT ceramic, wide base....am I dreaming?

My husband wants a mug for work. He is currently using a ceramic one with a rubbery lid (the kind that looks like a take-out starbucks cup). But he doesn't like it, because even with the rubber strip around the middle of the mug, its too hot coming out of the microwave. I have been looking around, both in stores and online, but have yet to find anything that would work for him. So I'm just throwing this question out on disboards, since I'm on here almost daily. My husband says his "perfect mug" does not exist (and I would love to prove him wrong....heehee). Anyone know of a travel mug for hot beverages that fits the following criteria?

-microwavable (i.e. no stainless steel)
-wide base (not necessarily wider than the top of the mug, but not narrower)
-glass (not ceramic. plastic would work, but not a great idea for repeated microwaving)
-lid
-not clear

the "not clear" part might be tough (and maybe negotiable if all the other criteria were met). At home he uses IKEA handled glass beer mugs (clear), and they are perfect. But they don't have a lid, and he would rather not have everyone at work see him walking around with hot spiced cider (which he says looks like beer or uhm, another similarly colored liquid).

We are stumped. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know if they have these anymore, but you can find mugs just like this elsewhere.

I had at one time a starsbuck mug. It was plastic, double walled and has a snap close opening on the screw on lid.

It worked for me, and the double wall insulates your hand from the inside contents.
