If you have been keeping up with the Pal Mickey swap, and thought about becoming a sitter, you may not know of the dates available. If you will be at WDW on these dates and would like to participate, just send me a pm with your dates and I will reply with important information on how/when to pay and etc.

July 1-4, 25-26 August 7-10

I'm playing around with August, If August 7-10 gets taken, I will include August up to the 13th. Any further into August and I think Pal Mickey will start feeling the effects of being passed around.

If you have been keeping up with the Pal Mickey swap, and thought about becoming a sitter,

I'm not sure I'm understanding your terminology..and maybe others are getting confused.

As a sitter on the other Pal Mickey swap off..a sitter does just that. Babysits because no one else needs Mickey that day. The sitters on the other swap, don't pay..they are doing a favor (like the sitters for the stroller).

So, are you looking for sitters, or for people to "use" Mickey?
I was a sitter (no use for Mickey..had my own), and now that my time got filled in, I'm not..but I wasn't paying (or using him) when I was sitting.

Just writing in case I'm not alone in being confused : )

but my understanding was that while in possession of Pal Mickey you are a sitter, like babysitting, you have a baby to care for while you babysit. Everyone on the July/August swap are paying, so we all are sitters. To be honest, I never thought there would be any confusion about that and I apologize if the terminology was/is misleading.

I guess we could change it to Pal Mickey mommies and daddies instead of sitters? What does the July/August Pal Mickey Disners think? Just let me know......

Gosh..good thing I didn't have to pay when I stroller sat LOL..I don't even have kids : )

It's your swap, you can call it whatever you wish of course. I just figured others besides me may have been confused and thought you were just looking for sitters, such as we used for the stroller. In the May swap, they are just calling them "people using Mickey". Some people have him for more days than they really want or need him (or did, they may have filled in all the spots now) but didn't pay for the days they had no plans to use him. Since I'm not using or sitting him, I it doesn't matter to me, I just thought maybe some were confused.

was we are all using the Pal Mickey therefore paying for the days we each are using.....there are no "gaps" that need sitting with the exception of August 7-10 which I feel we can get a taker for these days of "usage" not "sitting". I'm really trying to keep this simple and I'm sure everyone on this swap understood through the pm's, they are paying for the days they asked for. Just to make sure there is no confusion, Please take the time to look over the list. Right now the estimate per day is $1.50 X # days = amount due. If anyone feels they "thought" they were taking pal mickey because of "sitting" and didn't undestand the cost involved, pm me and let me know if you want to keep your days. If anyone in this swap wants to withdraw because of the misunderstanding, confusion or whatever you want to call it, it's ok. We have enough time to refill the dates.

I am arriving on August 7 and staying until the 16th at Pop Century so I could sit Mickey then. Although, I would be willing to give up Mickey to anyone going for those dates with younger kids, if needed. Mine are 9 & 12.

I wasn't confused at all by what you mean by "sitter". I know other groups use the word "sitter" to mean a non-paying person to fill in the gaps. It was evident to me from the beginning that this is not what you meant. For our group, a sitter is one who has possession of PM!

Since I'm not using or sitting him, I it doesn't matter to me, I just thought maybe some were confused.

Yes, you are, but in my house I pay the babysitter, the babysitter doesn't pay me. Now that would be nice. I'm going golfing, how much will you pay me to watch my kids?

People get together to split the cost of something, be it a cruise, or a Pal Mickey. No one is selling or charging for anything.
