Need your thoughts on split stay and our free day please....:)

A friend an I have planned a quick girls getaway for September 22-26th. It was not something that we planned very far in advance...maybe a month or so. We are staying our first night at BLT and the remainder of our trip will be spent at SSR (I am still hoping for a whole vat of pixie dust to be dumped on our reservation allowing us to stay at BLT the whole time. I know this is wishful thinking but hey stranger things have happened...right?)

Anyway to the point.....I will have an annual pass and she is just getting a two day pass. We plan on doing Magic Kindgdom on Friday since that is the only day while we are there that the Main Street Electrical Parade and Wishes will take place (we'll at least be able to catch the fireworks from TOTW on our arrival evening). What I would like your thoughts on is do you think that we should do our free day on Thursday since we will be switching resorts that day and do Epcot on Saturday or do you think that we would be ok doing Epcot on Thursday and our free day on Saturday? I have never done a split stay so I'm not sure what to expect.

well SSR is walking distanceto DTD so you can go there. also i would do epcot on thursday since it may be less crowded during the week then on the weekend. doing the parks two days in a row and then just taking it easy on saturday may be a nice way to cap off your quick trip. also ssr has a nice spa there so you could spend the day in the spa as well

I also would do Epcot on Thursday. You can be at the park during the transition of your luggage and while waiting to get a room. On Saturday, you can relax and take it easy so you go home refreshed. The spa is a great option, as is shopping or resort touring.
