Hi
We are more interested in picking the week with less people in the parks.

Which do you think is busier:

Nov 6-13 (last week of Food and Wine)

Nov 13-20 (Week before Thanksgiving- returning the Saturday before)?

Last year we went 6-13 but the festival ended on the 8th so I have no idea how that effects crowds. Im thinking airfare may be more expensive just before the holiday as well and that is a concern.

Thanks for your opinions.

I think it will be less crowded at the end of food and wine. Food and wine will attract adults without kids while the full week before Thanksgiving will attract families with younger kids who can be out of school for a more than just the few days before Thanksgiving. The crowds will begin to build on that Tuesday or Wednesday of the week of the 13th. There are websites that predict crowd levels like touringplans so you may want to try there first.

Both should be fine from a crowd standpoint. You may be a bump in crowds on the 6th and a bit on the 7th with the remnants of Jersey Week. But otherwise, it's a great time to go.

We were there on the last Sunday of the Food and Wine festival. It was mobbed (at Epcot) and it appeared as if the majority of guests were local folks. DH and I commented on it and wondered if Florida residents got a reduced price ticket that day.

the nov 6-13 week is the week we go almost every year.
my kids usually have 2 extra days off over veterans day... so we can go for 9 days and they only miss 3 days of school. we have found the crowds very reasonable.... and touring plans is usually right on the money with the best park/crowd levels.

one word of caution, Epcot F&W is packed the last weekend...so try to get you Epcot day in during the week mon-thurs.

We went last year for a few days before a cruise. Arrived Nov 19th. Crowds were very light.

From our experience the week before Thanksgiving is lighter than the last week of Food and Wine. In particular Epcot is crazy that last weekend. However, once that is over it dies right down. Most of your week is after that so, just avoid EPCOT on those first few days.

As far as kids vs adults, don't think I have ever been at WDW where there weren't many kids!

We went around Nov 7-14 last year and found it slightly busier than the year before when we went Nov. 15- 20. BUT, given the choice we would go the earlier week because the kids have 2 days off from school. This coming Nov. we are going 15-21 because of an activity at school. So, they will be missing a week.....

Just my 2 cents worth...Our family visited the week before Thanksgiving back in 2008 and had the best trip ever with very light crowds for the whole week..Christmas decorations were up at the parks also for an xtra bonus !! Imagine how thrilled we were to do the whole magic kingdom in the corse of a few hours vs. the couple of days it always takes when we go during the summer months. This week was so wonderful we are booking again very soon for the same time this year...no more summer trips for us...good luck

If you are leaving the Saturday BEFORE Thanksgiving, that would be perfect! The end of Food and Wine is going to be busy in Epcot, and some schools are having their teacher breaks yet that week. The week before Thanksgiving week is a perfect time.

We went once Thanksgiving week and it was the busies time that we have ever been. Granted that was the only time we went during a holiday week so we only had slower times to compare too. We went twice and February and it was quiet, but cold! The last two years we have gone in November and so far like it!

I can only go during Thanksgiving Week, the weeks around Christmas/New Years, Easter/Spring Break Week, and the Summer months. I have done them ALL and have to say that Thanksgiving Week is by far the most enjoyable in terms of crowds/weather...etc. We now plan on doing DVC/WDW for the week of Thanksgiving and DCL/a couple days of WDW during Summer months.

We typically get there Sat. morning before Thanksgiving and leave the following Sunday. Sat-Wed crowds are great. Thur-Sun, things get much more crowded. We plan on spending more time in our DVC unit, shopping, Downtown Disney, and the slower attractions during the end of Thanksgiving week. The parks are still doable though!

This will be our 5th Thanksgiving trip this year. We come in Friday night the week before T-giving and leave the next Friday.

Parks are very doable even on Wednesday and Thursday if you pick the right park and go early.

So which does everyone think will be busier... saturday the 13th or sunday the 14th... last two days of F&W.
