Hi!

We have a room on hold with the Raddison for the night before the cruise and I am a little shocked at the price. We have the King suite reserved with the one King bed in the bedroom and another reserved with the two King beds in the bedroom. The one I have on hold is the one with two beds in the bedroom and the price is $199 for the night!!! My mother has the suite with the one King bed in the bedroom reserved for $139.

My situation is we really want the suite with the 2 King beds in the bedroom as there will be 5 of us but I can't see paying $60 more for another bed.

We reserved the suite because it's cheaper than booking 2 rooms of our own. Does anyone know of any way I can get the price down on the 2 bed suite room?? I've called the Raddison directly and they have told me both times that there are no cheaper rates for that time----BTW ---we will be staying in late January of 2005.

I originally thought of staying at Ron Jon's but thought since Raddison had the free shuttle and was reading that some people had to strip their beds in the morning maybe we'd be better off at the Raddison. If anyone has any thought's or ideas I 'd greatly appreciate them.

Right now we have both rooms on hold and are trying to decide which one to cancel or if we should stay elsewhere.

Also would like to know about the shuttle at Raddison-----What time should we request to be taken to the port to be one of the first few in line???? Thanks for your help everyone ---I really appreciate it!!!;)

go to biddingfortravel.com and see what the going rate is at priceline. That's how we got our room last time.

I, too, have reservations there for the night before our cruise. I was totally shocked with the price also. We have the two bedroom suite, and our price is $169.
My question is regarding the shuttle. I am seeing on these boards that the time you leave the ship is based on your dining seating arrangements. It looks like people with early seating leave the ship earlier than the people with later seating arrangements because of breakfast. My question is..........how do I know what time to have the shuttle pick us up?!?!?!?!

You do not need to schedule a time for the shuttle to pick you up when you return, the shuttles just go back and forth, between the port and the hotel, there was one waiting for us when we came back last time.....
Enjoy.

Without knowing specific dates, it is hard to tell if you have the absolutely best price or not. Also, are you calling Radisson or the hotel directly? If so, that will not normally get you a bargain room rate.

I do know that with Radisson (and Cocoa Beach is included), if you reserve your room online, and pay for it then, I have seen rates in Cocoa for $89 per night. You should also check Travelocity and Orbitz to verify hotel prices.

Hope this helps!

I just booked a room at the Radisson for the night before my cruise. I was able to book a room on expedia for $97/nt for the standard room and the rate for the 1 bd suite was $132/nt. I called the hotel, looked at Radisson.com and had my TA check availabiltiy and the expedia rate was the best I could find.

I also found out that if you mention to them that you are cruising they automatically book you into a "cruise Package" which is not necessary. I called and spoke with the manager directly about this. YOu may not have the best rate.

Good Luck!

If you have AAA or in your mom's case, Sr. Citizen, you might be able to get a bit less.

The Rad. has a guarantee to match any price on the web, so see if you can get some help there too.

We got $97 for the 3 of us (2 queen beds) no breakfast. They were doing me a favor for $119, until I pointed out the prices on other websites. (We were also gonna have free breakfast for the 2 of us for the $119, but what about my daughter???) So, we'll figure out what to do about meals. There are a few restaurants nearby if we don't want to stay. (I kinda like going on the pier if we can.)

It depends upon the time of year. Scroll down to 'all prices' on their website to see if something cheaper is offered...

Hope that helps!

I have AAA and was given a much higher rate, they only honor so many AAA reservations at a time. Plus they automatically added the cruise package to the rate because she told them we were cruising. Even my TA was like, that's too much see what you can find on the web. Didn't know they would honor the web prices. We paid $97/nt for 2 adults and a 2 year old with breakfast.

Yes; my husband and I checked the rates online with Expedia and Travelocity and the rates WERE cheaper than what the Radisson quoted us. So I did call Radisson to explain that situation to them. I was going to let them know that I was cancelling with them and going with Travelocity. The person that answered told me that (1) the Travelocity rate cannot guarantee me a smoke-free room (which we need for my allergies) and (2) that rate did NOT include the cruise/shuttle package. The whole reason we picked the Radisson was for the cruise package so we thought we needed the $169 rate so we could use the shuttle. Therefore, I kept my reservation with the Radisson directly. Is someone there on the boards telling me that you booked the cheaper rate through Travelocity, Expedia, etc. and were STILL able to use the shuttle? If so, I will cancel right now with them and rebook through the internet!!!!! Oh yes; we do get the two hot breakfast meals with this rate, but I do have two daughters. I figured that we will just bring something from home for them to eat that morning. I am anxious to find out about this. I still have time to cancel.

Thanks to everyone for your quick replies!!:)

How do you know if you have the free breakfast???? I had heard of this before but had forgotten about it ---does it come with certain packages???

To Tiggerking---I have called both the Radisson directly at the hotel and the 800 # and both gave me the same prices for both rooms---I did hear that the web prices were supposed to be lower but that did not apply in my case--I don't know why?

We also don't have a cruise package and that is another question that I have and am concerned about----

Will we not get the free shuttle service if we don't have the package booked????? This is a little confusing to me because I called yesterday and had them reserve the shuttle for the time we wanted and they did'nt say anything about there being a charge:confused:

To dotterson--- For the room my mother has on hold she got the Senior Breaks special---$139 for the 1 King bed suite----there was'nt a Senior Break special for the 2 King bed suite---which is what we really want ---I just can't believe that we can't get the 2 King for less than $199----I have heard of people getting this room for $129 so I was shocked when they told me the lowest available price was $199:earseek:

Well, I am off to check other prices on Expedia, Orbitz etc. and I will see what is the lowest I can find and then call the hotel directly and see what they say about the price match guarantee---I'll let you all know what I find out . Thanks so much again for all of the great information!!:)

Check the Radisson website. I booked a non refundable rate of $85, which was risky but they did have a $92 rate (in August) Make sure you scroll down and see all the rates.

We have five but got a standard room and one kid slept on the floor.

We did not book any special rate but had no problem with the shuttle. (Except they didn't come to the port to pick anyone up due to the hurricane...but that's a long story)

Hello there,
I have some coupons that has rooms for $79.00 plus tax etc - now I do not know what rooms they are selling for $79.00, but when I get to work tomorrow, I will check and post the information - I believe I have about 10 coupons
Anyhow as soon as I find out, again will let you know.
Always
Shirley

I booked a room for November 5th for 99.00 plus tax. A standard room, and I also made my shuttle reservations at that time. So you do not have to book the cruise package to make shuttle reservations.

I am booked for the Radisson for October 30th for a king jacuzzi suite for $129.00. I also made my shuttle reservations.

Thanks to all---

Shirley-- I'll check back here tomorrow to see about the coupons you are referring to. I would love to have one if it applies to the room we have on hold. It was less for us to do the suite instead of 2 standard rooms. Thanks for posting about your coupons---you really are great to all here!!!:sunny:

The coupon I have states $79.00 for rooms - it does not specify which rooms tho it does say to ask for Florida rates - this expires February 9th, 2005
Hope this will help those that have questions about rates.
Always
Shirley

Thanks so much Shirley!! I sent you a pm and Thanks again for all you do here---You're the best!!!:sunny:

Shirley
