Hi All,

We are planning our first trip to WDW in Jan 2007 (Jan 11-Jan 16th)

We are 4 adults, 2 kids (ages 2 and 3 that is me, DH and DD (2) and My cousin, his wife and their DD (3) and are planning to go to WDW for 5 days...First of all...Is 5 days too less for WDW? Does an average visitor stay there for 2-3 weeks coz if thats the case...I am not too sure if we should even go ahead with our plans at this time.
We'd be flying from Philly/NJ.
We are going at a time that won't be peak (I assume), I checked the crowd level and it says 5-6 crowd level for that period. I donno what the wait period for each line will be if thatz the crowd level.

I have been to Disneyland in CA back in 2003 before I had my baby girl so I have some idea abt what to expect in WDW...like Magic Kingdom Universal studios etc but certainly need a lot of help here with how we should go abt planning these 5 days.

Thank you in advance for your help,

summer our kids are 4 & 6 - we did go for 8 nights, BUT my kids are older and we hit all 4 parks - with kids your age, i can't imagine you'll go to Epcot and you could probably just hit two parks i'd say MGM and MK!

If your kids are not afraid of Characters - then i'd also recommend 1 character meal as well!

I've gone to WDW quite a few times all for different amounts of days. We do have a slight system but we are able to see quite of few things even when we go for a few days. I would definitley spend a good amount of time at MK. Fantasy land is a haven for little ones. MGM has Playhouse Disney a must for little ones who are familliar with Bear in the big blue house and Stanley. Epcot isn't as active for little ones although there are a few finds that little ones would like. For instance the boat ride in Mexico and The Living Seas. The AK is great for little ones with the Dinosaur play area and the Conservation Station.

You could do AK, MGM and Epcot in one day just touching on the most popular attractions. Then Take a couple of days to MK.

I also like to do MK last with little ones because they will bug you to go back. I hope you have a great time! :yay:

Okay, we went this past October for the first time. I am no expert but I have done alot of research. We went for 8 days, but we had older kids. I think five days is plenty. I would definitly hit a character meal, Chef Mickeys was awesome and had all the classic characters(great way to start your vacation. Also like the other posters said MK will be where you want to be most of the time, We went there 4 times during our trip. Ak is only opened till around 5:00 so you could do that in one day. If you feel pressured save Epcot for next trip when the kids are older. I loved MGM too. Hope you guys have a great time.
Also my advice with kids which is alot different then most go early come back early. start late in the day, come back later. We tried the nap thing and my youngest wouldn't go to sleep, more work than worth to go back to hotel for a little while. Grouchy after nap
