I need your opinion and help once again.

With the new winter prices coming up my planning for our trip 2013 begins. We are a family with 2 kids under 12, so I booked 3 persons with a package and myself with an Annual passport “Room only” at the check-in in the past.

That was always the cheapest way for us (Kid under 12 free). Now one of my daughters will be 12 and so she has to pay also.

I’m thinking of buying Annual Passports for all of us and staying offside. It a lot of money for the passes at the moment, but if you renew them they could be value for 2 trips (18 months).

The Explorers Hotel for example would be 98,- € / night = 392,- € for a 4 night visit in January 2013.

But perhaps it is cheaper to get a package for my 12 year daughter and stay onside?:confused3

Is there still the offer for a free annual passport under 7? My other daughter will be 7 in June, so I have to think about it quick.

I really don’t know what to do this year? :scared1:

What do you think? Any experience from a family with 2 kids 7 and 13?

What could be the cheapest way?

As always…..thank you very much for your help.

going on my past experience, adding an over-11 onto an onsite package price, even at the cheapest time of year (February 2011), can cost around £130.

So it would be better value to buy your 12-year old a fantasy annual pass.

Unless you are intending going to DLP before your 6-year old's 7th birthday, I don't think you'd be able to use the cemultiavantages free child's pass deal, because its the date the pass is activated (ie made permanent at DLP) which counts, so if she's 7 when you do this, you'd need to buy an adult pass. Also the cemultiavantages and promoparcs AP deals usually have a 6-month validity period so you'd need to buy them from multiavantages/promoparcs in June or later, to be able to activate them in January next year.

At that time of year, if you get a great deal onsite, I think it probably will be about the same price, buying one AP for your 12-year old, with the kids under 12 deal and free nights/days etc, as buying APs for all your children and staying offsite. But you'll be able to compare the price you paid this year, with the ideas you have already for next year :).

I would price up the various options once the brochure has been released. Remember that although it will cost more to pay for your daughter to stay onsite it may not be as much as you expect because you won't have to pay a single adult supplement on the room.
