Hi all - I have a friend planning a trip to Florida in April. She wants to incorporate 3 days at WDW into her trip. She had DS 7 and DD 4. The issue is DD has epilepsy which adds some factors to choosing a resort. She needs at least a mini kitchen to keep dietary needs. Convenience is important too so DD can take some breaks at the resort (probably while DS hangs out at the parks with one parent). If budget was not an issue at all, I'd say definitely a monorail resort since most time will probably be at MK. I'm not really sure what to recommend. Unfortunately, there aren't any codes out yet for late April and I really think she should be booking something now for such a busy time. Any thoughts you guys have would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest renting points on the other board from a DVC member and staying at BC or BW, they can walk to Epcot and MGM and will have a fridge and microwave.

Good luck

One of the FW cabins might be convenient. :flower1:

Yes, that's a good suggestion. The Fort Wilderness Cabins are much less expensive than the other "Home Away From Home" resorts (pretty much the only ones that have kitchens). Your other options would be a 1-bedroom at a DVC resort, but those can run about $450 a night for late April whereas the cabin would only be $274 per night.

Plus, Fort Wilderness is only a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom. And the Trail's End Buffet is one of the best value places to eat in WDW. The resort is very spread out though, so maybe you could request a cabin closest to the main lobby since you will have special needs.
