We want to plan our next trip some time over Christmas next year. We have only gone in the fall in the past and are wondering how it is over Christmas? How are the crowds? Is there a particular week that is best to go? Is the weather good? Should we stick with fall? LOL. Thanks so much in advance for your help. This board truly helped make our last Disney vacation magical.

Hi,

If you are thinking of going Christmas week, the crowds will be larger than you can imagine! And if you have only gone in the fall before, you will be shocked at the number of people at WDW!

Having said that, thousands and thousands of people go every Christmas and have a great time. You'll just need to adjust your expectations for number of attractions you can do in one day.

Here's a link to a "current crowds" thread from earlier today:

Enjoy,

Its one of the busiest times to go. However if you are a regular visitor then just use your experience and you'll be fine.

We just returned today from a week at WDW. Prior to mid-day on Christmas, there were NO crowds. Most attractions were a walk-on. Waits were very short. Later, I will post some pictures of an empty Fantasyland taken at 10 am Christmas morning. Before Christmas, the parking lot at the All Stars was less than a quarter full. Things changed on Christmas day, but we were still able to do all that we wanted with a little planning. My advice if you are there this week is to go early and late. Rest in the afternoon. Dh and I went to EMH on Christmas evening (12 - 3 am). We had a 15 minute wait for Space Mountain around midnight. Most everything else was a walk-on. EMH Monday night at AK was busy right at the very beginning but slacked off appreciably soon after. We already are planning Christmas at WDW next year.

Hi!

How exciting!

We just returned from our first Christmas Trip to Disney. We stayed at AKL from Dec 8th - 14th and we were happily surprised. We usually go during June-July and the parks are pretty crowded, but we've learned how to plan and manage our days. While at Disney just a few days ago we actually walked on every ride, except for Test Track and Soarin which we fastpassed on both of these. The weather was 74's to 60's - my boys went to the pool and the hot tub every day... :cold: too cold for me....

I hope that helps!
