We need your help please... What kind of room request would you put in, if you were staying at the Boardwalk Villas in a Studio room? Near the elevator, closer to the pool, etc. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much!

will you have small children with you? then definately close to elevators, it can be a lonnnng walk with a toddler down those hallways.

I've stayed there many times and have always been in a nice room. The only thing that's really important to us is non-smoking. As long as we get that, I'm happy.

That said, if you want a view of the lake/ higher level fireworks from IllumiNations, ask for a view of the Village Green. That's the lawn area in front of the lobby between the BWI and the BWV wings. The 4th side is the lake/BW dock. There aren't a lot of rooms that fit that criteria, so if you get it, consider yourself very fortunate.

Best wishes -

whatever you do don't ask for a room directly next to the elevator we got that one year and I immediately had to switch room next night. the noise of the elevator going up and down at night while I was trying to sleep was unbearable. My favorite location is by the quiet pool...nice view of waterway and since my kids are older I can watch them swim from balcony

Are you staying on points or through CRO? If you are using points (either yours or rented), DVC has specific view categories - Standard (facing the front driveway & Swan), Preferred Boardwalk (facing the lake & boardwalk), Preferred Pool/Garden (facing the main pool, quiet pool or a garden area). If you are booked through CRO, it's kind of a "run of house" situation, you could get anything. Although I've heard Boardwalk view is restricted to points reservations.

Thank you all for all the great info! The room was booked thru CRO. I guess it can't hurt to put in some requests and hope for the best... :bitelip:

If you have a Preferred View - Pool/Garden, you shouldn't get a room overlooking the parking lot (those are mostly standard views). You will likely have a view of one of the pools or of the canal and Swan/Dolphin Hotels. Best wishes -
