This may sound like a strange question....

Last year I took the train down to WDW from Jersey because I have such a fear of flying. It took us 30 hours to get back (boooooooring trip). I loved Disney so much my DG and I are planning another trip for this year! BUT… I do not want to take a train (or she does not want to) so we may drive. BUT… I was thinking maybe I should try and take a plane:confused3 My problem is I need water with me at all time in a place I fear (why??? You guess is as good as mine)… So what are the restrictions with bringing water on planes? I have no problem buying it just before I board… I just need it with me.

Thanks for any input...

you can buy it after you go through security. you just cant bring it from home and take it through security.

so if you go to a bookstore before boarding the plane, you'll be fine!

You can't take water through security but you can buy as much as you want in the gift shops after security and take it on the plane. Hope you have a good trip!:)

Also, if your bottle runs out, I'm sure a steward or stewardess would be willing to refill it for you.

Have a great trip :goodvibes

Thanks... I was not sure.

Would a place be open before I board a plane to get water? What if I take a night flight:confused3

You can always bring an empty water bottle through security and then fill it from a fountain once you have passed through security.

Also when you board you can ask the flight attendant for a bottle, they have a supply of them.

My mother has fluid loss issues, and we flew when you couldn't even buy it after security and get on a plane with it and this is what we did.

I agree with the others.
For a while, you could not get on the plane with any liquids, but the last time we flew, you were able to buy water after getting past security.
If you are worried about not being able to buy any water, taking an empty bottle with you is a good idea. That way you have all bases covered.

One thing I noticed the last time we flew though - don't fill your bottle from the sinks in the airplane restrooms. We noticed signs above the sinks that said the water was not safe for drinking.

When all the new rules first came out about Liquids here, LAX advised one man to get a prescription for water, which he did and was on the news for it, and he apparently had no problems taking it on.

I've boarded a plane without water and on the way in quickly told the flight attendant I needed to take a pill before takeoff and could I please have a bottle of water. She very quickly and kindly handed me a bottle and I kept on going to take my seat. Very easy!
