My hubby used a new wafer Thursday and woke up Fri morning with his skin around the ostomy excoriated and weeping. We're thinking he had a reaction to the wafer adhesive. Now weeping skin means the wafer will not stick to his skin!!!! We saw his ostomy nurse yesterday who recommended using skin barrier spray/liquid bandage on the weeping skin. This is not working. We also tried K-Gum powder and this is not working either. He's used 14 wafers since Fri morning!!!!! It's now saturday and I can't get in touch with any ostomy nurses. Can anyone recommend anything else to get the wafer to stick???? Please!!!
