That's how I do mine but they never come out albino! If they're not brown enough, I cook without the lid for the last 15 minutes. DH 7 DD both eat the skin and say it's good that way. YUCK! ;)
 
We rotate our turkey during the cooking. If it's breast up the whole time the breast meat will get way too dry. It spends a little time on all 4 sides. We also add carrots, celery and onions to the pan. It seasons the drippings, making it flavorful when you baste. It also makes for good soup starter.
