We are staying at asmo the first day of arrival and doing the mnsshp that night oct 8. We are moving that morning to WL. I have ps for breakfast for 8am. Here's my "little" problem. My dh and girls don't know we are relocating to the WL for the next 3 nights of our stay. I would love to surpise them all is there ANYWAY i can pull this off by myself? How exactly do i request them to transfer our things from asmo to WL? Do we have to be in our room at asmo for them to retrieve our things for us? We are driving our car to WL for breakfast that morning so i could slip off and check in without a hitch or atleast i think i could. After breakfast we are heading to the parks until about 2'ish or so then back to the resort which will be WL. I need help never staying on site before and not to mention trying to surpise everyone. My DH may kill me for doing this.LOL He wants to stay at ASMO only because it was so cheap but we are not value people and everytime we look at room pictures or the map of the parks he makes all sorts of remarks. Like will the door open all the way in that room (asmo) and do we just put our clothes on the floor? And well at least we have a potty and shower.LOL Anyways you get the picture he'll want to kill but will love the fact we don't have to stay cramped in that small room. I would have done the entire stay there at WL except for we have one of our girls that will be so excited to see the toy story things at asmo. I think after one night he'll be wishing we where not there. We looked at the WL pic's yesterday and a map they sent of where the resorts are in ref to the parks and he made the comment geesh if i would have known we'd be this remote we should have booked WL. Anyways i got an AP rate for 150 courtyard view and requested the bunkbed set up and i think the four of us will be happier there. So back to my question can you help me with tips to "sneak" this move? We are traveling fairly lightly with two suitcases and two duffle bags.

The quietest way to do the move is to have your family head out early for your PS, then call the bell desk and tell them you need luggage moved to the Wilderness Lodge (make sure to tell them you have to get to a PS), quickly pack, then have the Movies transfer your stuff to the Wilderness Lodge. Make sure to hold on to the claim tickets. Also, be advised that they have until 3pm to transfer the luggage, so don't expect it to be there at 9am. If you plan on getting to the WL early, then make sure to pack people's swimsuits in a bag that you'll take with you.

You could also get to the bus stop then "forget something" or have to go to the bathroom really bad or something, send them on and make the calls.

Have fun!

I would go for a "walk" the night before and make arrangements with the desk or bell services to make the transfer in the morning -- and then tell the family, very nonchalantly, that the front desk asked if we could move to another room in the resort because the floor we were staying on was having water problems and they needed to work on it the next day. That way, when I suddenly began packing everyone's bags the next morning, no one would be suspicious. It would also give me a good reason to "check" on the transfer and make sure everything was arranged.

What a fun treat for your family! Enjoy!

I like the way you guys think! My husband is one of those hands on daddy's and would think nothing of me saying go ahead with the kids and show them around while i finish getting dressed. :)
