We will be arriving in wdw nov 14th. Im trying to figure out what is the best place to have dinner on our first night? I have been there several times but my husband and i are treating my parents to their first ever trip to disney. I want to get them in the disney mood. Where would you eat dinner at?

And our last night there i want to celebrate my daughters birthday. What are some special things to do?

Will you be going to the park on your first day? If you are, then I would eat in that park. CRT is probably the most "Disney" in the Magic Kingdom. What could be a better welcome then eating inside the castle? The wishes dessert party might also be a good option.

If you're not going to a park, I'd recommend eating somewhere on the monorail loop. If you eat at California Grill, you can watch Wishes fireworks from the roof of the contemporary. You couldn't have a better view of the Magic Kingdom and the fireworks. Chef Mickey or Ohama would be good character meal choices. Wherever you choose on the monorail loop, make sure that you check out Wishes fireworks from somewhere in that resort. There are good viewing spots from the Contemporary and Poly. I think the fireworks would be a great way to welcome your parents to Disney World for the first time.

I would like more information about your daughter before I recommend a place for dinner. How old is she? What does she like to eat and do? What characters does she like (if that's age appropriate)?

She will be turning 14. She loves any kind of food. And as for characters...shes a princess kinda girl. Lol. I was thinking of ordering a small cake for the last dinner there. Do they still offer that?

Another vote for The California Grill from me
We love it there!!!
Good food and a great view!!!
Have fun!!!

Yeah ou can still order custom cakes. If you go the restaurant board there is all kind of info on the cake chatter thread.

I suggest O'hana for the first night. I probably sound like a broken record when I always tell people this, but its really a special place. Try to get a fairly late time so you can view Wishes from the restaurant. It really is magical.

Since you said your DD is princessy I thought I'd add a picture of the cake I got off the cake chatter thread that I plan to order for my dd's bday.
