Need to have tickets shipped or just email?

I am about to buy tickets to attach to my RO reservation. I have always done a package before.

On the official WDW tickets page, I get the option to have the tickets shipped or to get an email code to show at the gate (?) I really just want to attach them to my ressie/ MB so I can make FP+ in a few days. ( I would think WDW could mention this option on the page...)

Which option should I pick? Do I need the physical tickets? Will they come as MB or cards? which is less hassle? I don't want to have to go to Guest Service or anything before AM EMH the first morning.

How are you buying the tickets? If you buy them through your MDE account they are automatically linked to you and those you have added toy you account. They are automatically linked to your magic bands assuming you have them or are getting them. You don't need the physical tickets but it does not hurt to have them in hand.

You won't need to go to guest services.

If you purchase them directly from Disney they will appear in your MDE account and automatically link to your Magic Bands.

If you want to purchase discounted tickets elsewhere they will provide you with a number that you enter into MDE and then they would be linked to your Magic Bands.

The Magic Bands will be shipped to you at home (if you are in the USA), if you do online check in you won't need to go to the front desk. They will text you your room number and you can go directly there or to a park.

I do what ever option doesn't add more cost and doesn't ship when I purchase from MDE or the disney site. generally they link on their own but in the event they don't the confirmation number is all you need to link them yourself..

never had any issue just walking up to the entrance with my magicband or ap card to get in with the ticket.
